Forgive me for over-photographing these keys but it's not everyday you stumble across one of these, ya know?

Cash and I went to our first pet fair on Saturday, hoping somebody would spot him that couldn't live without him. I have to say... he didn't do great. He was super friendly to everybody that walked by, including kids (though he did jump up on a couple people). But he was also extremely interested in all the other dogs - and then was snarly and very dominant acting toward them. I have to admit, I was surprised given how easily he fit in here.
One guy really liked him (actually admitted that he'd come thinking he wasn't interested in a white boxer, but "there's something about him...") but when he brought his current girl (about 1 y.o. boxer) over, it definitely wasn't love at first sight. The little girl was as submissive as they come, laying down and rolling over immediately upon meeting him. But Cash went and stood directly over her. The guy took both of them for a walk - Cash did settle down and was fine once they were walking -- but when they got back, Cash mounted the girl. She let him for a little while, but when she tried to get away, it turned into an actual (minor) scuffle.
I'm super surprised. I don't know if it was the environment, the excitement, etc. -- or if I just got really lucky with Bear and Belle (he and Belle have had a few minor battles, but they've been over food or a bone -- mostly they just ignore each other). He and Bear have never so much as raised a lip at each other (and Bear will correct annoying dogs or dogs that try to exhibit too much dominance). I don't know... maybe it was being leashed. Or maybe he just doesn't like other boxers. I knew from what I'd seen between him and Belle that he was unlikely to back down from a fight, but I was shocked he was picking them.
Anyway, he did a shitty job selling himself (well, that's not completely true - he sold himself really well until another dog came into the picture). We've got a lot more work to do than I had realized. I'm hoping that if I keep putting crap on his head and making him pose for ridiculous photos, he'll try harder to find his forever home.
if you like my pictures of shirtless dudes (not that there's anything wrong with that), be a pal and check out the other pictures i've posted on flickr. thanks!
