Star Care, (reefer) unloading Del Monte containers in Portsmouth, UK. Taken from MV Voyager in the Solent.

This little cream pitcher is at Mom's house. I am not sure where it came from but I suspect it was once my paternal great grandmother's. The little handle is SO amazing, I thought it was perfect for the challenge!

Oops! I missed the deadline . . . we are central standard time zone! Well, anyway! For Smile on Saturday! - handle

I think I'll stick without them for now. You Care to much and it bites you later.

The holly is so prickly it hurts! And our holly has no berries, so I paired it with some redcurrants, which I've been making into redcurrant sauce - I don't like cranberries as much 😊

The roots were actually like this, hard to believe, they were wrapped around a rock, - it was amazing! Thank you New Zealand. Take care people....

In a Massai village near by Olduvai Gorge, the children were so happy playing as if they were saying who cares your high class urban life. The Poverty were incredible. You cant believe what you see. You naturally wish they could have taken education. But then, can we manage to keep them still in their natural habitat? This would also kill Massai culture. So I have no idea what is really right.

Taking care of some business in downtown Tucson I found this scene around the corner from where I parked. Fortuitous light and shadow on this wall in the old Presidio area.

I love watching the sun set.

While I took this, there were some guys sitting in their truck staring at me... It was weird... I hate taking photos in front of people.

Hope you all had a nice day!<3

I was invited to take photos at a fundraising event in San Francisco. Many burners showed up at Monarch Gardens for the fundraiser of Treble Makers, a Burning Man camp. DJs and live performers spun an eclectic mix of tunes.

I processed a photographic and a balanced HDR photo from a JPG exposure, blended them, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Sad to see, but an abandoned hospital. The last time we were here, we got shooed off by security while we were looking at something else.

ᴄᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜ sᴇᴇ ᴍᴇ ʟᴏɴɢɪɴɢ ғᴏʀ ʏᴏᴜ, ғᴏʀᴇᴠᴇʀ?

Typically, when I post a photo, it’s my own work, and the only description is the lyrics of a song that sparked the idea in my mind. But this picture is different. This was taken by Ari Gunner, who, without hesitation or expectation, offered to help me with my first store simply because she wanted to see me succeed. That simple act of kindness perfectly sums up who Ari was—not just in that moment, but in every moment I was lucky enough to share with her.

She wasn’t just a friend; she was the closest thing I ever had to a mother, both in SL and RL. She was there for me in ways that no one else was, without question, without obligation—just pure, unwavering support. She took care of me when she didn’t have to, when the world felt heavy, and when I felt alone.

I will carry her kindness, her love, and her generosity with me for the rest of my life. She gave so much and asked for nothing in return. That is the kind of love that never fades, and I will never forget her.

Dance performance “Care” by Helena Krinal & United Dancers of Zuga.

The dance performance “Care” focuses on how difficult, easy, depressing, and uplifting it is to care for someone else.

The collaboration between Zuga and Helena Krinal, which started by chance, turned out to be so interesting and enriching for both parties that they have now been researching and creating together for six years and have reached their third performance – “Care”. Previously, they created “Noise” (2019) and “Shame” (2021). “Noise” was nominated for the Estonian Theatre Award in the dance performance category in 2020.

Led by the Estonian Dance Agency and local cultural organizers, TantsuMENÜÜ brings dance performances all over Estonia.

I have a small collection of this figurines from Enesco "No Strings Attached" of the Puppet Figurine line from 1994. They are hand-painted and crafted in stone resin. This one is a girl carrying a little teddy bear.

A bit of a DIY effort for this weeks challenge. I made the mini boxes and a lightcube to shoot within.

The mini cardboard boxes were designed in Adobe Illustration, using a handwritting style font for the text. The net was printed onto kraft paper using my inkjet printer.

I made the lightcube from foamboard and sheets of tracing paper. Cheap LED worklights from Screwfix were used to illuminate the cube.

'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars

I'm gonna give you my heart

'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars

'Cause you light up the path

I don't care, go on and tear me apart

I don't care if you do, ooh

'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky full of stars

I think I saw you

Bohemian Waxwing taken in St.John's, NL

Did you know that the name "Bohemian" refers to the nomadic movements of winter flocks. It comes from the inhabitants of bohemia, meaning those that live an unconventional lifestyle. Bohemian Waxwings do not hold breeding territories, which some believe is due to the fact that the fruits they eat are abundant, but available only in short periods. One consequence of this non-territorial lifestyle is that they have no true song as it does not need one to defend its territory.
