More magnificent Autumn colours...fingers crossed that we don't get the usual gales that strip the trees of their beauty!
The Moroccan Sahara encompasses a large portion of southern Morocco and has an area of about 252,000 square miles (652,000 square kilometers). With vast swaths of sand dunes, rugged mountains, rocky plateaus, and lush oasis valleys, the desert landscape is breathtaking.
The region was blessed with rare heavy rain on the day before our visit.
How fortunate we arrived a day later with fine weather, got to ride on the camel and watched the sunset on top of a sand dune.
This photo was taken from high up of a very friendly and calm camel.

The Lewis river flows from Lewis lake for a short distance where it joins the Snake river on it's way thru the Teton Valley.

This past Sunday, after resting up from our morning walk, Dad took me out again for an afternoon play session in the snowy field beside our house.
He wore his snowsuit and we played with a Frisbee, a mini-football, and my clown ball.
This photo shows a quiet, restful moment during that time.

Was shooting this sacred temple in the sea during sunset with the tide rolling in when this chap walked into my frame, might just as well include him as a foreground subject.

Re-edited 23May22 as my post-processing in the original upload 3 years ago was frankly rather poor.
Becoming proficient in post-processing can make all the difference between a ho-hum image and an impactful one. This difference is also significantly more noticeable than any new gear can provide in fact!
Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies is one of the most jaw dropping places on Earth and for good reason. The park is filled with many stunning glacial lakes, impressive mountain peaks, roaring waterfalls, and stunning wildlife! Moraine Lake is one of the top attractions here and it is easy to see why with water as beautiful as this! I have never seen a landscape that took my breath away quite like this one did. Thankfully Alicia and I were able to find a quieter spot on the lake before the crowds caught up and I must say that even though this wasn’t the traditional view that everyone is accustomed to seeing, it was equally as stunning! The beauty of this lake was truly captivating and it was one of the hardest places to leave if I am being completely honest. However, as I look back on this picture I don’t want to end on the note that the landscape is what got the final grab on my heart. As I stand before such a magnificent place, I am even more amazed that my Creator and the Creator of this amazing lake is infinitely more beautiful than all of His creation! These places just give us glimpses of how amazing He is. I don’t want to walk away from this and miss the whole point, Jesus did not create these things merely for our enjoyment and viewing pleasure, but to reveal more of His beauty so that our hearts would be captivated by His beauty and His glory which is beyond what our finite minds can comprehend! I hope and pray that if you have stopped and looked at nature and stopped there and have missed seeing His glory and if you have missed the main point of why He even showed it to you, I pray that would change right now. I pray that you would see His glory and that you would worship the Creator who is majestic and holy and glorious and infinitely more beautiful than what our minds can comprehend!

To say that this Great Horned Owl's eyes were captivating would be an understatement. He was pretty interested in what I was up to as well!
On the day we visited the Alberta Birds of Prey Foundation, it was a hot day and the birds were feeling it too. I thought the owl was panting but it seems they do something called, gular fluttering, which is a fluttering of the neck muscles with an open mouth and is used to dissipate heat.
One of the things I enjoy about photography is that you often learn something new. I had no idea birds do this.
