Throwback Clancy, 3yrs 3wks
No time for our Saturday Morning Post, as Dad is working, so here is a throwback to early December 2015 when we were out in the fields off the Prescott-Russell Trail. Is that snow I see over there? No, I would have to wait another three weeks for the great white fluffy stuff!

A few weeks ago, after a lot of gray days, I made my way to the light on the heights of the Hunsrück and found what I was looking for.
While it was completely clear outside the forest, there was light fog and some hoarfrost in the wood, a wonderful mixture that captivated me for a few hours.
Saw this magnificent grey wolf residing at the time I took this photo at the Alaskan Wildlife Conversation Center, in Alaska obvs. It's the closest I've been to a wolf in the wild and even from a distance they looked proud and intelligent and amazing.
The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a sanctuary dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, education, research and quality animal care.
I don't want to alarm you, but some people close to me say that once a month, on the full moon, I look a bit like this. (That's the Halloween scary bit for those in parts of the world that celebrate it ;)

Captivating clouds at sunset rising above Mt. Heyburn reflected in Little Redfish Lake. Always seem to have great skies when here. The high altitude helps.
I'll be busy with a project for a bit. Have a great week.
Thanks for taking a look. Always appreciated!

A woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae. There are over three hundred species and thousands of cultivars. They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing, or trailing, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds. Most species are native to Asia, with smaller numbers native to Europe, North America, and northwestern Africa. Species, cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beauty and often are fragrant. Roses have acquired cultural significance in many societies. Rose plants range in size from compact, miniature roses, to climbers that can reach seven meters in height. Different species hybridize easily, and this has been used in the development of the wide range of garden roses. 28174
Protea is both the botanical name and the English common name of a genus of South African flowering plants, sometimes also called sugarbushes or fynbos. The family is Proteaceae. In local tradition, the protea flower represents change and hope. The extraordinary richness and diversity of species characteristic of the Cape flora are thought to be caused in part by the diverse landscape, where populations can become isolated from each other and in time develop into separate species. The main vectors responsible for the transfer of pollen in protea cultivation are birds, insects, and wind. Some Protea species exhibit both self-pollination and cross-pollination as a method of reproduction. Cross-pollination is preferred, though, as a method of reproduction because it provides genetic diversity in the population. When cultivating proteas, breeders use hand pollination as a controlled method to transfer pollen from one flower to another. Proteas usually flower during spring. The general structure of their flower heads consists of a mass of flowers on a woody receptacle. The ovary is protected by the receptacle, thus is not seen when looking at the flower, but the anthers are present at the top of the flower, which can then easily transfer the pollen to the vectors. 30019

A favorite location for great coffee and a stunning view is the Cilantro Coffee Shop and Cafe on Yoho Park's Emerald Lake.
In the distance Emerald peak is shrouded in stormy skies reflected in the Emerald Lake outlet. More views below....
Seems coffee always tastes the best when the air is pristine and views are captivating.

O how majestic are the works of Your hands O God! Your beauty and majesty amaze me! Your creation has taken my breath away. I am speechless for how good you are to me! Never have I known someone like You Jesus! You are beautiful clothed in majesty and honor! You sit on the throne and the nations tremble at Your feet! You confound the wise and empower the weak! You make weak the strong and humble those with pride. Who deserves to stand before Your throne O Lord! I am thankful as a humble servant to stand before Your throne of grace and be welcomed as a son!

Black and white re-edit of a portrait of Archie captured in February 2018.
Holding Archie's attention for long enough to capture a photograph is no easy task. You also need some very fast shutter speeds most of the time. He is not one for staying still.
Happy Caturday to my Flickr friends - wishing you all a fantastic weekend of photography.
Enjoy!
But I'm still alive
I don't wanna just survive
Give me something to sink all my teeth in
Eat the devil and spit out my demons
Still alive
Already died a thousand times
Went to Hell but I'm back and I'm breathing
Make me bleed while my heart is still beating
Still alive

Black and white re-edit of a shot from June 2019. Enjoy!
The search for diversity has led me to the place where I found several blossoming lotus flowers. One of them was so attractive and charming that I just couldn't pass by such beauty! Truly a unique picture, in my opinion!
This night photograph was taken in South Lake of Zhou Zhuang during our holidays in June.
It was slightly breezy and the water surface in the lake was disturbed. The light and fountain show, with sequence of images projected onto a screen, lasers from selected spots and fountains of various patterns, was captivating. The captured screen image was a snapshot of the some buildings of Zhou Zhuang.

Much like a miracle drug, I was always chasing the next buzz. The trees totally entranced me from my Yak.
Now that winter is here, I still find myself dreaming of Fall. It will take awhile to adjust to the -26C temps as of right now but I will get there as winter has its beauty too, only it is a cold buzz.
