The Flickr Lounge-From The Ground Up
This is Stu's watering can. He planted clover for a ground crop in the garden which was a nice idea because it does keep some of the weeds down though with all the rain we've had it's next to impossible to stop them.
Carlee is so in love with my jewelry. She used to call them "Mommy's Pretties". She asks me which ones she can have when she gets older, she already has them picked out. She is so girly, I hardly wear any of them! Usually just this one.

Actually, home in this case is right behind me but on these cold November mornings while out searching for the illusive Dungeness Crab, it can get a bit nippily and one needs all of the help one can get...

Not very often you will see a New Forest pony running, so we knew something had excited them! Especially as a herd of cows were making fast tracks in the same direction as well. We wanted to see what it was, so we turned the car around to investigate (this is taken from the car window). Soon saw what the fuss was about when we came across the biggest herd of horses and cows I have ever seen in one spot. The agisters had been out and left a huge amount of hay as the weather has been so poor and the ground so hard. Obviously 'word' gets around really quickly in the Forest and they all came running:-)

Playing around with light trails on Wharf Street in Old Town Victoria. Using multiple shots for light trails is great because you get capture way more cars passing by. It really adds to the effect.

The Can Cau Market is Vietnam’s most authentic and isolated open-air market. It is held only on Saturday every week and is located about an hour drive from Bac Ha in Northeastern Vietnam and nine kilometers from the Chinese border.
The market is spread out over various hillsides and features food, clothing and livestock.
This is not a tourist market where you come to buy gifts for your friends and family back home. This is where the locals go to buy and sell wild horses, pigs, chickens and water buffalo.
The colorful dress of the hill tribe ethnic minorities attracts many outsiders with the Flower Hmong perhaps being the most brightly colored. At the market they have makeshift stalls for barbers and I happen to get a nice image in one of their mirrors.
It took me a while to decide how to process this photograph. Originally I had processed this photo in color to highlight the traditional dress of the Flower Hmong, but in the end I decided to go with a bleach bypass look to reinforce a more storytelling image.

I know it's not polite to toot your own horn, but holy hell do I ever love the way today's shots turned out! I was totally inspired by this shot, and knew I wanted to do my own version with blues instead of pinks. Of course, in post processing I wound up falling in love with this shot, which is decidedly more muted. Whatever. Don't you just love those days where shoots go even better than expected and you totally feel like you rocked it out? This is one of those days for me. So let me enjoy it!! Ha!
That said, there were a bunch of outtakes that I really liked too, so I'm posting them in the comments. Let me know what you think of them. And as a side note, when I started my self portrait 365 project, I wasn't sure I could handle it. I mean, I'm self conscious of the way I look and usually hate pictures of me. So how was I going to do a whole year of it, right? But what I've discovered in the course of doing these daily self portraits, is that I love the way I can totally transform my look for different shots. Wigs, makeup, angles, processing...it's become this total obsession of mine. I love making myself look like somebody else, while still retaining the bits of me that I love. This shot is such a good example of that.
Ok, I'll stop rambling about how much I love these shots. Ha. If you read this far, you must really like me a lot! ;)

I caught a couple in actual flight and you can tell what it is!! OMG! LOLOL I have been trying to capture birds in flight and be able to actually see what it is when uploading. The other day at Shelby Farms, I was feeding the ducks and geese and the gulls were flying in and over us trying to get some of the bread. I'm not always quick with my reflexes since the stroke, but, I got a couple of them in flight this time!! I may post a couple other shots another time :) Thanks for being so tolerant with me!

Masia de Can Feliu, actualment un centre civic, a Sant Quirze del Vallès.
Fins ara les imatges que tenia amb la Ermanox eren força deficients, però la cosa ha millorat quan, amb poc temps de diferencia, he pogut obtenir un nou (i correcte) visor i un xassis porta-rodets Rollex en molt millor estat. Amb tot, aquest xassis també em ratllava la emulsió, però cobrint les superficies sospitoses amb fragments de paper de format 120, ja quasi no rasca.

Up until now the images I had with the Ermanox were quite poor, but things improved when I was able to get a new (and correct for this camera) viewfinder and a much better condition Rollex 127 film back. However, this back also scratched my emulsion, but by covering the suspect metallic surfaces with scraps of 120-format backing paper, it hardly scratches anymore.
