This is a new kind of collectible for me. "FiGPiNS" are 3-Inch enamel pins with a pin clasp that doubles as a display stand. @entearth sent Cad Bane over for me to check out. I like it! I think I might put him on my jacket pocket for a while. The display case he comes in is something I'd like to see Hasbro do. It would the exact opposite of plastic-free packaging 😁.

Every day brings something entirely different in Cades Cove. The sun was so bright and the fog hovered for some time on this morning.

A testbed using the frame of a VIA LRC (VIA 6908) and a GE testbed are at CAD and have been there going back quite a number of years.
The Cades Cove Loop winds for 11 miles through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a picturesque drive with a backdrop of the mountain peaks and its lush, rolling greens. Europeans settled the Cades Cove area between 1818 and 1821. Today, visitors to Cades Cove can enjoy the largest variety of historic buildings in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. When traveling the scenic loop road, plan to get out and visit the restored buildings that include three churches, log homes, cantilevered barns and a working mill.

Nant Cader Falls - Nant Cader Gorge, next to the Minffordd Path, is now looking its best as Autumn gets in full swing and the tree's leaves start to show their full copper tones and with heavy rain filling the river. Over the past few days, the falls have been looking spectacular, and although the spray from the falls has been filling the gorge and rain has been coming down in sheets it was still a great location to spend the morning taking images.
Taken on a day when the fog wouldn't stop rolling in and out last December r,luckily these guys turned up whilst it was clearing ,again!

Taken on our 2008 family vacation to Gatlinburg Tennessee and the surrounding area. Taken on our first trip around the Cades Cove Loop with friends. We split up the cars with all the girls in the lead car and all of us guys in the following vehicle. We had a blast and I enjoyed watching the girls spotting wildlife out the sunroof.
