After 25 years at its present location, Aldershot Bus Station will close for good at the end of this week. To mark this occasion, the opportunity was taken today (03/05/2023) to recreate a scene that would have occurred around 10 years ago. When Stagecoach took over Fleet Buzz in 2011 they kept the identity for 3 years and repainted a number of their own buses into the distinctive yellow and black livery. One such bus was AE51VFV, now lovingly restored by James Bell. It is seen here in the bus station as it would have been seen on the Route 72 to Reading. Some town shots conclude this afternoon jolly.
My favorite "shooting blind" image for Studio 26. Buzz loves apples, and we play catch with them pretty much every morning. So when the sun decided to make an unusual appearance (sort of) today, we went outside and played where we could have a better background. I was holding the camera about by my knee, trying to tilt to the right angle to capture Buzz. As a result, I was throwing apple slices left handed, with some not very good throws. This was one of my poorer throws, and Buzz had to lunge forward to catch it. I love his eyes and ear!

The passing by Western Scrub-Jay (Aphelocoma californica) buzzed by close enough to this White-tailed Kite (Elanus leucurus) that it scared it off its perch. Coyote Hills RP, Fremont, CA.

He is the captain of the Alliance's Team Lightyear and is known for his bravery and courage The toy figure Buzz was made by Thinkway Toys between 1995 and 1999 and In October 2007 readers of the Empire film magazine voted him #1 of the Top 20 Greatest Pixar Characters - so as Buzz says - To Infinity and Beyond :D

While waiting in line for well we didn't know just got in line till we could find out LOL Good thing cause Buzz came up and chatted with us - better photo op then I could have waited for!!!
So this week was a real experiment and I would LOVE feedback - including criticisms! This "construction" is a first for me and I have a lot to learn!
I wanted to do a shot of Buzz's head with a beautiful blue sky background. Unfortunately the sky didn't cooperate. The original has a very white sky - combination of poor shooting conditions and poor skills :) So I took Buzz from that shot and put him in various skies that I had from other shots - cloudy (this one), blue, Grand Canyon, and I vignetted him.
With some of these, I felt the outline of Buzz was too harsh. I don't know how to change that. I felt that this one blended him into the sky more smoothly than the others.
So, I would love to hear what I could have done differently, what I might have done right, and how to do something like this in the future.
The other shots can be seen here. And I really hope some of you look at these because I would love to learn how to do this photo construction well.

PS - note to moderators - I see that the date on the photo is April 11. Well, that's the date I took the sky picture. The picture of Buzz was taken on May 20, which you can see if you go to the original shot linked above. I assume that's okay with the group guidelines, so long as the photo of the dog was taken in the week.
BUZZ SAW HORDAK

After King Miro and Randor returned from exile in Despondos, the Three Towers returned to the surface signaling the time when the Second Ultimate Battleground would commence. To prepare for this battle, Hordak invaded Central Tower in an attempt to steal the secret of Time Travel. But without the Cosmic Key to channel the Tower’s energy, Hordak’s body was mutated, creating a Buzz Saw Blaster which could lash out at any enemy from his chest. During their final battle, Skeletor magically drained Hordak’s essence revealing the secrets and might of the Horde empire. But in Hordak’s last breath, while he appeared surrounded and defenseless, Hordak’s buzz saw blasts were unleashed, striking out at Skeletor in a final cataclysmic blow! If not for a nearby Bionotops, Skeletor would have indeed perished and Hordak’s revenge complete.
