Have been saving this lovely button for a day when I can only manage to sew on a button.
Am flat-out exhausted. Not entirely sure what the hell is going on; am deferring paranoia and hypochondria (mostly) since there is a game plan for figuring out what's going on. It sneaks in, though. Am Very Unhappy of the prospect of thinking of myself as Sickly again. My good health was hard-won, and I feel anxious at the thought of having to fight hard to keep it.
yesterday I went through six of my MIL's button jars and sorted them by color families. Many were new, many vintage. Might turn out more as we clean out.

Bead stringing using Lesley Watt's tutorial. Polymer clay colored with alcohol inks, two with text from vintage farmer's atlas added, button from Jo-Ann's.
Here are some more of my buttons which I made out of stoneware clay. I bisque fired them, than glazed them and fired them again to cone 6. In some cases I add oxides to further enhance the buttons. Each of these buttons are approximately 1.25 inches in circumference.
Seen in a crafts shop.
That is entirely made up out of buttons!

I recently discovered ilikelemons which is a fun knitting blog full of unique knitted items. One of my favorite patterns is the Button Tab Hat. I finished this late last night but knew I had to grab a picture in the early morning light this morning. I got this fun orange button from The Fiber Gallery. It's so unique.
