A very special custom order for Nancy. Two of three hearts. Hearts are hand cut and hand sewn with embroidery thread in silver and pink. Both cut from blush pink felt measuring approx. 5" X 5" (7 3/4" w/hanging loop) One is embellished with buttons in graduating hues of pink with silver foiled beads and coordinating silver ribbon bow. Other is embellished with pink satin and mesh Mickey ears hand sewn pearl beads and pink and green Organza flowers.

Tiny fungi fruiting bodies on the contents of my compost bin which had been excavated by a rat! from the bottom of the bin and spread on the ground outside.
Belly switch puncturing infections are not typical if you comply with the guidelines from your piercer as well as have your puncturing done by a specialist that belongs to the Association of Professional Piercers. Still, local puncturing infections could take place, as well as it’s vital...
If you look up "labour of love" in the dictionary, there's a photo of this calendar (based on a design from the book "I Love Patchwork")... button covering, rubber stamping and velcro, oh my! But I'm so happy to have my chickens on display!
(P.S. For others thinking about making this, it worked quite well to add three little extra tabs of velcro at the bottom to hold the spare buttons...)
