Just opened, this indoor karting & game spot is on Roswell Road, Hwy. 120, just east of the I-75 overpass. For years the building housed a Burlington Coat Factory store and an auto repair shop, Day Brothers. Now it's all spiffed up and ready for a new life.

The church, in this case provided the design for this sign. Located in a rural Iowa, the church was set well back of the main roadway. Shot this one around a quarter to nine this morning. I like that there are a bunch of signs. I used Snapseed to make a whole bunch of adjustments and then PhotoToaster to filter it with their “Clarify” filter.

I bagged a 1952, for my collection of pictures of buildings built in 1952. I was as happy as a coin collector getting a 1952 U.S. quarter, or a license plate collector getting a 1952 West Virginia license plate.

This one is a commercial building in light brown stone veneer, divided into storefronts, tripartite.

I refused to take the picture head-on, because it would have shown an embarrassing window reflection of me.

Look close[ly -- ed.] to see that the white plastic is the backside of a different sign. You will be interested to learn from Google Streetview that the backside reads SANTA RITA MARKET, ICE COLD BEER, CONVENIENCE & LIQUOR and was on display no less recently than April 2013. Plus the bottom part of the sign used to have a plastic panel that read BARRIOS PIZZA & DELI.

By August 2016 the tavern had gotten a new sign. You are lucky to be seeing this October 2015 version.

Loved this concrete-filled oil drum. "Terms!" its graffiti reads, haha. "Terms!"
