The snowball bushes around here are very tough plants. They never get watered, and survive cold winters and hot summers. They are completely neglected.
It was windy, so I was surprised I managed to get this in focus.

My mentor and friend Jack Bush in a mid seventies painting with rollered ground. Another Moser (?) chair, A Hughto fron the same time the Bush was painted, a stunning round table and the wooden couple carved by the Japanese American artist, name unknown to me.
The pied bush chat (Saxicola caprata) is a small passerine bird found ranging from West Asia and Central Asia to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. About sixteen subspecies are recognized through its wide range with many island forms. It is a familiar bird of countryside and open scrub or grassland where it is found perched at the top of short thorn trees or other shrubs, looking out for insect prey. They pick up insects mainly from the ground, and were, like other chats, placed in the thrush family Turdidae, but are now considered as Old World flycatchers.
They nest in cavities in stone walls or in holes in an embankment, lining the nest with grass and animal hair. The males are black with white shoulder and vent patches whose extent varies among populations. Females are predominantly brownish while juveniles are speckled.
A former workplace of mine during the days when the World Service still broadcast from the building, this is Bush House.
These days it's part of the King's College campus but from this view it looks pretty much identical to how it did when I worked there ten years ago.
Went to a local airshow to take some shots for a publication and website, These WW2 buffs are friends and co-workers and hopefully they like my work as I sort thru the shots.
This is a replica of George Bush Sr.'s TBF Avenger Torpedo plane that he flew in the South Pacific. I had no clue that he had been such a skilled and decorated pilot and this aircraft was amazing. I think I might be hooked on airshows now!

I am no horticulturalist but apparently some plants need protection by being position near a wall or away from the wind. This bush looked like it needed nurturing as someone placed it near a wall and even built a wall around it to protect its roots. Faith is described as a shield. It does indeed protect the user from (and in) the difficulties and trials of life. Try a little faith in God and see the difference for yourself. You might be surprised.
As for the sheep, well I think he had just discovered that the grass tastes a lot better by the wall. Life tastes good with faith. I know, I've tried it both ways.

Glory bush, Lasiandra or princess flower (Tibouchina urvilleana), a native of Brazil, grown widely as a garden plant.
I didn't appreciate the intricacy of these flowers until I photographed them. There are 10 stamens. Five stamens are longer than the others. The pollen is released from a pore at the tip of the anthers which are clawlike. The anthers also act a landing pad for bees which in the wild pollinate the flowers by buzz pollination which involves the bee grabbing onto the flower and moving their flight muscles rapidly, causing the flower and anthers to vibrate, dislodging pollen.

Fantastic, cryptic, beautiful birds
A beautiful lilac bush grows in my backyard. in 2013 it got cut way back. 7 years later it is finally as full as it was then. I couldn't resist taking many photo images with my Canon, then with my IPhone 11 Pro I took a few more at different angles. My favorite photography is Macro with Bokeh thrown into the mix. Bokeh is when you focus on one item whether background or foreground, zoom in on it and blur the rest of the image. I also like to layer my Photo Images giving them a dimensional look. This makes for interesting and unusual photos. The lilac is my favorite flower besides the Poppy. I love its fragrance and the differentiating purple colors.
