A string of 5 tickets issued in September of either 1967, 1968 or 1969.

Issued on a Walsall trolleybus on service 33 (Circular). The lowest value ticket at 1.5d was for a dog, the 3.5d tickets were for children whilst the 7d ticket was for an adult. In these pre-decimalisation days mental arithmetic was a more required skill for bus conductors, these tickets adding upto 19d which was one shilling and 7 (old) pence... 1/7 ... 1s 7d. [In decimal currency 8 (new) pence].

If one is travelling alone, as I was when I returned from Albania two years ago, the bus from Gatwick to Heathrow (or in my case from Heathrow to Gatwick) is probably the cheapest way to travel. However, when my daughter and I travelled from Heathrow in May we got a taxi from my house in Crawley to Heathrow for £55 + £5 tip … plainly better value than getting from my house to Gatwick and then paying £50 for two single bus tickets.

London transport Gibson bus ticket issued on board LT Routemaster RML2262 in Ohio to passengers riding on the bus as it gave rides in 1965.

this week's submission is serendipitous and not my original idea - my mum used her bus ticket as a coaster and it got stuck to the bottom of the glass - so it had to be! I would like to add that we are a coaster household ... we do possess some very nice coasters ... but the bus ticket was to hand lol :o)

week 15/52 of the jar project that looks at refraction, reflection, distortion, opacity, light, bokeh, colours, textures and subject matter through the medium of a glass jar or vessel ... with focus on a title containing only one word

Fugdi is an art form that can be traced to the primeval cultural traditions of Goa. It is performed by the women during various religious and social occasions.

A selection of Coventry bus tickets from the 1970's both CCT and WMPTE. Noteworthy was a Coventry practice of sometimes printing on the "wrong" side of the ticket - both before and after WMPTE takeover.

This "Autofare 3" ticket was issued on WMPTE's first Mk II MCW Metrobus, West Bromwich based 2436.

Unfortunately these tickets did not show a year, only 9th May is known, not the year.

The ticket might date from Sunday 9th May 1982, this being the day that 2436 as a brand new bus attended the Sandwell rally.

Not sure how old or when they stopped using this type. It would've been Fulwood to the bus station, so it's anyone's guess when it would've cost all of 18p!
