So ESN (the people who organize trips / activities for foreign students) is offering a trip to the beach tomorrow. I found out about it a few weeks ago. I really wanted to go but decided against it (for reasons of money, studies, rest, etc.) Today Karina (pictured) was hanging out with me and Sofia. She is going to the beach tomorrow. She kept talking about what a good deal it is and how much fun it is and how there are still spots open. SHE TALKED ME INTO IT!! I'm so freaking excited. We went straight to the bus station and bought our tickets. yay
Teil 37 meiner 90-Tage-Challenge. Unser vorletzter Tag in Tanger. Wir haben heute die Fährtickets für Sonntag Richtung Tarifa und die Bustickets für Tarifa – Cadiz gekauft. In Cadiz bleiben wir zwei Nächte, bevor es am Dienstag mit dem Bus weiter nach Huelva geht. Dort nehmen wir die Fähre für eine 1,5-tägige Fährfahrt nach Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Heute Vormittag waren meine Frau und ich unterwegs, damit ich noch mal zum Malen komme. Diese Woche habe ich nur wenig gemalt – und werde daher auf gar keine Fälle meine 90 Posts / Bilder / Texte / Irgendwas während unseres Sabbaticals »voll« bekommen. Macht mir aber nix ;-) Es war von Beginn an immer ein mögliches (und auch recht wahrscheinliches) Ergebnis des Experiments, dass ich es nicht schaffen werde. Wobei: wer weiß? Vielleicht überkommt mich ja in den nächsten Wochen noch ein Produktivitätsschub, dass ich es doch noch schaffe? Ist aber für mich überhaupt nicht entscheidend …
Soziokratie
Was ganz anderes: ich habe ja mein Sabbatical auch als willkommene Gelegenheit gesehen, mir Gedanken über berufliche Perspektive zu machen. Durch meine Freiwilligenarbeit bei der Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie habe ich vor Jahren das Konzept der Soziokratie kennengelernt. Soziokratie kann ich Arbeits- und ganz allgemein in Organisationskontexten eingesetzt werden und kann erheblich zur Optimierung der Zusammenarbeit beitragen.

I unearthed this ticket today down the side of a seat of Leyland Leopard GSO 86V, now in preservation. I was sorting out seat backs on the bus and this fell out, having been hidden away by a passenger a very long time ago indeed, since the bus transferred to Strathtay Scottish in 1985. You wouldn't get very far for 26p today!

Over dit project:
“Halte de Liefde”
In een tijd van verruwing en verharding van de maatschappij zorgt het project “Halte de Liefde” voor een plezierige tegenhanger.
Voor dit project heeft het muziekgezelschap Wies en de Liefde de samenwerking gezocht met gerenommeerde dichters en de Eerste Bergensche Boekhandel. Wies en de Liefde maakt Nederlandstalige muziek met eigen liedteksten. Misschien het best te omschrijven als pop-poëzie. Voor deze voorstellingen is aan verschillende dichters gevraagd een keuze te maken uit hun gedichten die over de liefde gaan.
Van iedere dichter is één gedicht omgezet in muziek, waarvoor een speciaal arrangement is geschreven door de band. Tijdens de voorstellingen wordt het repertoire van Wies en de Liefde gecombineerd met de gedichten van de aanwezige dichters, elke dag een nieuwe dichter. Hierdoor zal iedere voorstelling een andere signatuur en unieke verhaallijn krijgen. Het onderwerp de Liefde staat centraal, de beleving hiervan is tijdens de uitvoeringen telkens verschillend.
Het muziekgezelschap beschikt over een oude Franse stadsbus die plaats biedt aan maximaal 45 toeschouwers en is ingericht als theater op wielen.
Tijdens de kunst10daagse van 2017 krijgt de gemeente Bergen een nieuwe busverbinding met slechts één eindhalte, Halte de Liefde, waarin muziektheater en poëzie hand in hand gaan.

Van oldtimer naar elektrisch aangedreven theater.
De Bergense band Wies en de liefde startte 10 oktober, tevens Dag van de duurzaamheid, een crowdfunding om hun oldtimer stadsbus om te kunnen bouwen naar een elektrisch aangedreven theater. Met dit project de Schone Liefde wil de band bijdragen aan een schoner milieu en bewustwording omtrent de voetdruk die iedere band, muzikant en festivalorganisator achterlaat. De band kan voor het project nog financiële hulp gebruiken.
De Franse stadsbus die de Bergense band Wies en de liefde heeft ingericht als reizend theater, wordt omgebouwd naar een elektrische bus. Door de steeds strengere regelgeving omtrent dieselmotoren werd het voor de band steeds lastiger om aanwezig te kunnen zijn op festivals en evenementen, binnen de milieu-zones. Met het plaatsen van een elektromotor wordt de actieradius van de band aanzienlijk vergroot. De installatie van de elektromotor zal worden verricht door het Amsterdamse bedrijf New Electric dat in 2016 de Damprijs voor het duurzaamste bedrijf heeft gewonnen.
De band wil met het project een bewustwording creëren onder muzikanten en festival-organisatoren en doormiddel van dit project zelf de eerste Groene Muzikanten van Nederland worden. In hun rijdend theater, dat maximaal 50 bezoekers kan herbergen, zingen zij over verre bestemmingen, landschappen, op reis gaan, en nooit meer terug, en natuurlijk over de liefde, in al haar facetten.
De band is opgericht door zangeres en componiste Wies Kavelaar, die begeleid wordt door haar drie liefdes - Wouter Mooy (gitaar), Ton Nieuwenhuizen (bas) en Andries Eleveld (drums) - allen met een lange staat van dienst in de theater- en kleinkunstwereld. I got a kick out of this and thought I'd share it. When my sister first came into town, we took a Greyhound up to Duluth from St. Paul. I bought our tickets and they asked us for both of our names. No problem.
On the way back to the Cities the following week, the clerk at the Duluth Greyhound station didn't bother to ask for names. He just assumed we were MARRIED and put MR. and MRS. on the tickets!
I love my sister... but not THAT way!
