On tow is First 60524, seen in the Crayford one way system. The bus looks in a bad way with windows and wheels missing.
This small batch restarts my 1967 'remaining' shots not already posted on Flickr. (The 6 week gap due to a house move). On 5th. September I visited the South Coast. At Brighton here is No.92, a 1949 AEC Regent III / Weymann passing near the Steyne. Very attractive buses I felt although a few less adverts wouldnt come amiss! The small Ford visible will no doubt be named (the model) by someone! No.92 was withdrawn in Apr'69.

This has to be one of my favourite slides, of one of my favourite buses in a classic livery that I've ever come across. For me it's as close to perfect as it's possible to get! The picture was taken on one of our longer days out from the Potteries in 1985 to Bishop Auckland, and depicts OK Motor Services 1969 AEC Reliance Plaxton Derwent GUP 647H outside the former Lockey's premises at West Auckland.
Had all things worked out later in it's life, it should have joined the Knotty fleet but for some bumbled arrangements. I believe that the bus is currently preserved near Macclesfield, Cheshire.
