An older Red Bus MAN is seen heading South at Rolleston. MAN buses and coaches are common in the New Zealand roadscene. Many of them have been assembled in Australia and then shipped for bodying in New Zealand. Designline of Ashburton are a major plaey specialising in service bus bodies although they do produce coaches as well.
A very sad looking AN68 Atlantean, number 468 at Lathalmond and although some restoration work has been done I understand she has already gone to the scrapyard.
This is rather unfortunate as 465, bought by the Tyne and Wear Bus Preservation, has also been used for spare parts.
A sad ending then for another great work horse in Edinburgh, from the mid 1970's to 1992. I can remember when this fleet group was new just shortly after I left school.

A pair of Grahams Bus Service Guy Arabs loading passengers for Linwood outside Paisley Town Hall. Both buses appear to have Northern Counties bodywork of a nineteen fifties style. XS5626 would have entered service in 1945 fitted with an austerity body similar to that fitted to DUS425.

A similar bus, XS5625 also received new bodywork while the third vehicle in the batch, XS5627 retained its original austerity bodywork. From a collection purchased on e-bay. Photographer not known.

This East Lancs bodied Atlentean was new to Eastbourne, and also ran for Provincial of Gosport for a while. Seen in front of an ex-North Western RCC Bristol RE in Manchester Piccadilly (Parker Street) bus station.
Ipswich Buses 34 (YR61 RSV) a Scania Omnicity, operating a diverted 15 service along Princes Street, Ipswich.

I was more taken by the curious colour that the passing of a red Route 179 gives, when reflected on the side of the blue training bus.
