What a bus!
This has to be one of my favourite slides, of one of my favourite buses in a classic livery that I've ever come across. For me it's as close to perfect as it's possible to get! The picture was taken on one of our longer days out from the Potteries in 1985 to Bishop Auckland, and depicts OK Motor Services 1969 AEC Reliance Plaxton Derwent GUP 647H outside the former Lockey's premises at West Auckland.
Had all things worked out later in it's life, it should have joined the Knotty fleet but for some bumbled arrangements. I believe that the bus is currently preserved near Macclesfield, Cheshire.
