DDB 750 Watt Projector Bulb silhouette. You can see where one of the filaments is burned out.
Photographed with a Zeiss Ikon Ideal 9X12 plate camera. The film is Fomapan 100 developed in Beerenol (Rainier Beer).
I've not destructed anything for a good while now so I purchased a few bulbs and made a mess!
I wanted something a little different from the last time I did this, roughly 4yrs to the day as it happens! Where does the time go! I chose Pearl lightbulbs and lit them indirectly rather than directly as I did last time.
One YN560IV in a 24" softbox 1/128 @ 24mm. Softbox behind bulb with a piece of black foamboard in between the two to flag off the light. Basically a dark field set up.
Speedlight triggered with MIOPS set to sound mode. 2ms delay.

This one is from the archives :) Clicked on a night out in the city in Sydney. These decoration Light Bulbs caught my attention.
I'm experimenting with shadows for the "All about the shadow" theme in the Macro Mondays group this week.
I wonder if there's an irony in a shadow of a light bulb?
All my kitchen project photos are in this album:-

Winters here in England and I'm not out much with the camera at present. I'm wondering what I can do with myself. The answer is I pick up a photographic magazine for ideas and 5 minutes later with a few household items. Hey presto the magic happens. I'm pleased with the results when I consider I put these shots together with a torch, some string and an old picture frame and bulb. Everything fell into place and the process and results I think are magical. My own personal indoor light show.
I really like the colors and the lighting in this capture ... not too sure about the comp. I was in a rush setting this shot up there on the wooden walkway to catch the lighting there in the clouds as the sun was setting, but also watching were the few remaining people there were and walking ... there was one family that had passed by and then started coming back ... and when they walked they moved the wooden walkway which did not help the bulb captures. So it was a challenge to work around them. I set this up to get the one tree under the orange clouds at the 1/3 point in the frame, not really paying attention to how close the other trees were to the left edge of the frame ... this just appears to be out of balance.
