After the fragrant tulips died back, my wife harvested the bulbs, to plant again at a later date.
Strobist: Alien Bees 800 through a 7" reflector behind the subject and high, camera right, fired with a sync chord. A silver reflector, attached to a stand, is just to camera left, to lessen the shadows.
Today I received a present: new yellow halogen bulbs for my 1987 Peu 305 Break GR. Now my car looks more French as it ever was...
Dank Wouter!

Here is the Bulb capture taken that I had used in the recent "picture within the picture" theme (see below in the comments). The lake there was very choppy, and the clouds were streaming overhead very quickly (but the ones there in front of the mountains across the lake were not moving much), so the result is this very interesting image that looks like a painting. I really liked how the driftwood and rock sticking out of the water there looked as well. The long exposure also allows the rocks below the surface to be seen.

Another shot I took with the Technology Competition in mind. Just a halogen bulb sitting on a mirror. I desaturated it, then added a colour filter to give it the slightly bronze flavour.

Early April 2020, the first (soft) lockdown had just been put in place here in the Netherlands. I spent quite some early mornings (but also afternoons) chasing the light on these flower fields and I'd like to believe it helped me keep, or rather regain my sanity after what had been some taxing months, for varying reasons. And while I love the look of tulips, I do tend to get a little sad thinking about the amounts of pesticides are used during the process. Unfortunately, only few fields in the Netherlands grow these the organic way. So if you're planning on buying bulbs or flowers, it's worth asking for or looking for that 'bio' label!

Not the most original title to an image but creativity escapes me just now!
LED light bulb taken using the dark field method. Single YN560 IV strobe 1/128 @ 24mm. Dark field set up consisting of one flash fired behind subject into an A1 size white foamboard. Same foamboard at right angles to subject to create the rim light. I had to dial down the bulb using a dimming plug as the filament was just too blown out. Into PS for a little rinse and repeat.
Triggered via YN560TX
Light bulb here was dimmed to its lowest setting, backdrop had Christmas lights behind bulb to create the Bokeh effect. One soft box also included for some reflection with a second illuminating the backdrop.

WIT: I thought Basia's picture of the lampshade with the perspective of looking up into the shade was cool. This was shot from my floor lamp, with the energy-saving bulb. In post, just brightened the surrounding shade a bit, as when I shot the picture, I exposed for the light bulb. No crop in post.
