This is a 3' x 5' banner I made as an "advertisement" for the Building Project--it was going to be posted at our construction site for the next few years. It got rejected because of the overly heroic house and because it's supposed to be PR for Common Ground, not the BP.

This is the original vector version I made with a combination of Rhino and Illustrator.

Structural steel for the Integrated Sciences Complex arrived on Wednesday, December 21, and the steelworkers have been busy erecting two stories of columns and beams on the north wing. The university community will see the ISC take shape as steel continues to go up and metal decks, concrete slabs and fireproofing are installed through the spring.

normally, the division of labor at our house is:

~ heavy lifting/building stuff: husband

~ cooking/sewing: me

yesterday, i helped husband load a big pile of wood neatly into this container. and being part of what's normally "his job" was surprisingly satisfying. it gave me a strong sense of exactly how in-this-project-together we really are.
