The elegant interior of St. Nicholas parish church at Moreton.
Originally dedicated to St. Magnus Martyr, it was changed to St. Nicholas in 1940. Extensively damaged by bombing during WW2, the church was rebuilt & included in the refurbishment were the beautiful engraved glass windows.
T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) was buried in the churchyard following his funeral in the church.
St. Adhelm's church, Bishopstrow
St. Adhelm's church built in the 14c & partly rebuilt in 1757 is a Grade II listed building. The village of Bishopstrow is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1066.
Lyveden New Build
Not a ruin but an Elizabethan summer house that was never completed. Begun by Sir Thomas Tresham, the building remains incomplete & virtually unaltered since his death in 1605.
