Lyveden New Build
Not a ruin but an Elizabethan summer house that was never completed. Begun by Sir Thomas Tresham, the building remains incomplete & virtually unaltered since his death in 1605.
St. Nicholas parish church, Moreton.
The church is world famous for the engraved glass windows by Sir Laurence Whistler & for the grave of Lawrence of Arabia in the nearby cemetery.
The Royal Oak, Swallowcliffe
This pub is co-owned by TV Presenter, James May, who lives nearby. Together with his business partner they rescued the pub from closure.
The pub is a pleasant place to visit & serves decent food.
St. Andrew's church, Minterne Magna
A small, late medieval church, St. Andrews' has an early 17c north chapel & a tower dated from around 1800.
