This is the government owned holiday resort in Inner Mongolia - YaKerShi County. Near the border of Russia.
During summer, many officials from the south would travel to the north for cooler weather.
They have their vacation & seminar here.
You can see that the architecture with lots of Russian or European infleunce in this Rest House.
This is a beautiful morning.
But the day seem to be too long for me.
I am back to the hotel @ 11.30 mid night wake-up @ 3.30am, left hotel for airport at 4.40am.
The flight to Shanghai is delayed, then the flight to QuanZhou Fujian was delayed from 12.30 to 1.30...... then finally took off at 11.45 mid night.
The logistic & support services is really very bad.
I was very concern for the Shanghai leg, As Natalie flew overnight from Singapore to meet me, then I would have to meet her in the Pudong airport before proceeding to Hongqiao airport....
It is really a long long day.......

You don't get these kind of fine & beautiful scene in Beijing or major cities in China these days!! So enjoy!!

This master piece is carved out of white jade from Yunan.
It is a replica of the oldest times piece in the world.
The stone is transported from Yunan then it is crafted by hand by the artist.
However, you can appreciate that the crafting work is so refine & details.
The principle is using the Solar & its shadow position to indicate the times of the day.
Chinese hour in the ancient days was One Lunar Hour = 2 International hours.
The height of this is about 10 storey high.
This is the government owned hotel & resort in MunZhouli; the Pheonix Hills.
I am sure you enjoy the beautiful scene of this grassland & hills.
The hotel architecture is off Russian infleunce. there is also windmill for generating electricity.

This is the night scene I took at the PuDong area, near the Dong Fung Ming Zhu part of Yangzi River.
There are many many building still retaining the look from the 1800's & 1900's European architectures.
This is taken without tripod.
We're building a 14' X16' office shed for my wife. Once the major framing was in place, they left braces in place overnight to keep the walls true, but in a tight space I thought the the criss-crossing brace beams created some fascinating lines and angles (which also created their own play with shadows and light...).

I shot this one while waiting for my wife to come out of recovery from a hand surgery on the 30th. These two buildings are rather iconic along the north side of Atlanta’s Perimeter Highway. Sorry about the crane, but it was the only shot that I could get from the surgery center’s waiting room. My iPhone was zoomed out. It was shot through a not so clean plate glass windows, as well. Using Snapseed, I made it as artful as I could.

Almost a perfect cross section of an old house showing the internal construction and various modifications over the years. Sort of like a frozen history of building technology from the medieval period to the present day.

The MIAMI REALTORS® celebrated the topping out of its new global headquarters with more than 100 Link Construction group employees on June 13, 2023.
It was one of those typical dark overrcast and rainy days when we were at the temple, which for sure is an impressive structure. The colors are brillint and the art work nothing short of stunning. The pictures however did not really show the greatness of the place. The skies were grey and overexposed and the colors were much more vibrant with the naked eye then it showed on screen of the camera. I used curves, levels and layers to see what I could save of the sky and show you the temple as it is meant to be: striking and vibrant...
