The total area is over 20ha. Address: Pham Van Dong Street - Xuan Dinh Ward - Bac Tu Liem District - Hanoi City.

Xây dựng theo mô phỏng của Công Viên Hòa Bình Nagasaki ở Nhật Bản, Công Viên Hòa Bình được hoàn thành vào ngày 8 tháng 10 năm 2010 đúng vào dịp thủ đô Hà Nội kỷ niệm đại lễ 1000 năm Thăng Long Hà Nội. Với diện tích rộng trên 20ha.

This is the Si Ku Niang Shan only road to the peak. These areas used to be able to access by horsecarts & Tracktors only, but now, with the cemented road. More traffics are on the road.

Thus, the polltions are getting serious. I am told that 20 years ago, the mountain peak would have snow year round.

But today, most of the snow already gone, so can you see the seriousness of the Global Warming??

N.B.

This is taken on the coach, the road is very bumpy.

This is the No 1 busies airport in the world.

This airport is explanding every day ...

They are going to have 1-2millions visitors per day. in facr they are already serving 1millions people a day.

Beijing is a great city, with the economy is taking off, this airport is ever expanding.

Looking at the atmosphere & those pollutants in the air these are un-healthy for people to live.

The hours before I took the shot, there was raining. otherwise, we would never be able to see this beautiful scene.

Dreammy & foggy & misty!!

pseudo HDR from one RAW shot.

A great week to all :-))

As promised quite some time back now , here. Is the house growing out of which was a very very big hole in the ground . Goodness knows what there is constructed underground but the building above ground now looks like this - bearing in mind there is more to the build off shot to the left of the shot . Because of fencing and hedging this view was taken through a hole in the building site gates where the chain goes through to secure the site. In the first comment box is a view in front of where the house has now taken shape along with a bit more info .

Don't Fret & Edwin.

Demolition and groundworks on Fish Island, community destruction for money . . .

I am amazed at the construction practices throughout Africa. I've seen similar in Asia. Using bamboo and trees to prop up a several thousand pound structure is mind boggling. This particular picture is from Rwanda.

You can't stop the music, and you can't stop cycle of destruction and construction in our cities. This view along the back of Brisbane's iconic City Hall looks toward new construction at 62-80 Ann Street, Brisbane. As usual, a high crane is clipped onto the side of the building, I am glad that's not a workplace I ever had. In fact though, Jenny and I met when we were working in the electricity distribution industry in the previous building on this block.

We hadn't been into the city for quite a while and were surprised to see our old building, which was in fact relatively modern and clad in lovely sandstone completely demolished and replaced by this new and tall construction. As this shot was taken back in 2021, it is probably finished now and open. I hope they recycled that lovely sandstone.

Converging verticals....grrrr!

Watch it large!

This is one of my most popular pictures on flickr. I took it last year as we went to Taj very early in the morning. This is taken about 15 minutes after sunrise. I recently had it printed poster size to hang it in our living room.

The lab suggested that I use metallic photo paper to print it. It was much more expensive than normal paper and I thought it was going to be a rip off. When I saw the result however I was very very pleased. It had an effect I never imagined possible on print.

I tried to recreate it on screen but all attempts were to no avail. Until recently I read about Dynamic-Photo HDR, a piece of software that can do single photo HDRs.

I processed and tonemapped a single raw file and this is the closest I could get to the print I have and it is an aweful lot closer than adjusting levels and saturation in Photoshop. It is also my first HDR and I am inspired now to revisit a few more pictures of the recent past....;-))

Blogged here and here and here and here

This is the photo stitch project I did using 3 photos to put together, it suppose to gives a Panorama view.

Instead it turn out like these. Perhaps Corel Album 6 team need to look at their software again. These certainly is not the right result that I expected.

But, I did spend lots of time in putting it together & corrections.

It is a great piece of work.

This 13 storey pagoda is suppose to be the talless building in Chengdu & Sichuan. It is over a thousand years old.

I am sure you can envisage the knowledge & wisdoms of the architects & craftmen. With all the fine art works done.

This is the greatest Dam in the world.

The Automated Dam would be the No 1 in the world.

But thinking of the event that Da Ba is done by act of god, all of US in West Coast of America, both North & South, Need not to say about the cities in Shanghai & Zhejiang Area would be under the water.

Few hundreds millions of people & beings would be re-union with the gods or Lords or return to Heavens & Hells.

As Lao Zi said:

The Most Peaceful & Harmony thing is Water.

Water Can afloat a boat,

& Water can capsize the boat!!

Another proverb said:

One can move the mountain,

However,

Don't ever plays with Water

Something sacred I lost
