The color is amasing.....

Each time I traveled to China, I have been discouraged to visit Wuhan during Summer, as I am told I may get heat stroke!!

While in the 80's I have no chance to have sight-seeing journey.

The golden reflection of the mother's river is really once in the life time!!

Well the temperature was 102degree F, humid, no wind.

N.B.

Wuhan is one of the 1st civilized city in Chinese history. The city have over 2,000 years of heritage.

Preparing to Hoist

On 11 January 2014 a massive fire burnt for 10 hours razing to the ground most of the ancient city of Dukezong/Shangrila, destroying 250 buildings some up to 600 years old.

Repairs are are on the scale of a complete rebuild of most of the town, starting with essential services. Hopefully the finished town will retain some of the character of the old one.

It is a great moment when I got off the car & saw these scene .

The reflections of gold as well

The golden moment!!

But my concern on the pollution & Green House effects are hanging in my mind.............

This is what I look out on the Hotel in Yang Jiang on the 2011-10-24 Morning. This Village House is on top floor of the 8 storey town home which is at the business hub of Yang Jiang City, GuangDong. I am totally amazed!! The apartment are all built very close to each other, in the local term they call it "HandShake Apartment", you can laterally shakehand with your neighbour around you.

The lower floors all windows are built with the iron grill. There are no fire escape stairway in all these buildings. There are no lift installed in building like these. The building walls are either sand bricks or clay bricks. Therefore, these buildings are not environmental Protection & Energy saving.. for the past 14 years or so, I have been advocating our environment protections, Energy Saving home in Asia & here, I am exhausted my energy & resource on such saga.

I still never give-up my hope!!

Beijing Airport is the most busy airport in the world.

Looking at the sky, you can see the alarming concern on smogs & pollutions in the air.

What a marvellous work in board and pen line! Showing the 'old' days of steel frame construction when health and safety was less of a rigorous concern this bold graphic certainly gives an excellent impression of such demanding and danerous work.

This is another in a series of similar adverts issued by the company in the mid-20th century and who had addresses in London, Manchester & Birmingham. I'm inclined to think that Trafford Park was the centre of the company's works.

Cranes on the Sydney skyline, a long shot from someway down a hill to the south of the cranes. The suburb may be Ryde. Sydney, NSW. There are actually six cranes working in the area and it amazes me how these three align from my viewpoint. I keep trying to get this shot and will replace it if I get a better one.

According to a recent report by Australia's public broadcaster the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC)'s business reporter Stephen Letts, there are More cranes on Australian east coast than in North America.

The "biannual crane count survey by global property and construction consultants Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB)" is an interesting measure to my mind, although I remain confused about why a biannual survey reports on the September quarter.

This is the government owned holiday resort in Inner Mongolia - YaKerShi County. Near the border of Russia.

During summer, many officials from the south would travel to the north for cooler weather.

They have their vacation & seminar here.

You can see that the architecture with lots of Russian or European infleunce in this Rest House.

This is a beautiful morning.

But the day seem to be too long for me.

I am back to the hotel @ 11.30 mid night wake-up @ 3.30am, left hotel for airport at 4.40am.

The flight to Shanghai is delayed, then the flight to QuanZhou Fujian was delayed from 12.30 to 1.30...... then finally took off at 11.45 mid night.

The logistic & support services is really very bad.

I was very concern for the Shanghai leg, As Natalie flew overnight from Singapore to meet me, then I would have to meet her in the Pudong airport before proceeding to Hongqiao airport....

It is really a long long day.......

N.B.

You don't get these kind of fine & beautiful scene in Beijing or major cities in China these days!! So enjoy!!

New construction rises in southeast Washington, DC between Nationals Park stadium and the U.S. Capitol. Nationals parking garage roof is in foreground.

I was there to photograph the building, but the streetcar is so much more fun to capture as it whizzes by! :)

This master piece is carved out of white jade from Yunan.

It is a replica of the oldest times piece in the world.

The stone is transported from Yunan then it is crafted by hand by the artist.

However, you can appreciate that the crafting work is so refine & details.

The principle is using the Solar & its shadow position to indicate the times of the day.

Chinese hour in the ancient days was One Lunar Hour = 2 International hours.

The height of this is about 10 storey high.

This is the government owned hotel & resort in MunZhouli; the Pheonix Hills.

I am sure you enjoy the beautiful scene of this grassland & hills.

The hotel architecture is off Russian infleunce. there is also windmill for generating electricity.
