freezing bubbles in the morning frost. Find me on facebook or twitter to ask permission for use. @Hannahbellaaaa
I'm forever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air
They fly so high, nearly reach the sky
Then like my dreams they fade and die
This was a very challenging challenge! Frustrating. Exhausting. Addictive. I learned a lot and know what I'll do differently the next time I try this. My biggest problem was lighting and focus. The fact that I don't have a lot of photography equipment also hindered me. My kitchen table was a mess! I would have liked to have taken the project outside for better lighting, but we've had nothing but rain and wind. So the virus isn't the only thing keeping me inside!
The new girl comes to the surface. People are now voting on a name for the zoo's adorable new otter. I voted for Piper. I'll let you know which name wins!
Update: Piper was the winning name!

Experimenting with different ways to make an abstract for bubbles. These are not water droplets at all. Just some soap’s and brain stretching. I hope you like them, I don’t know what I want to submit to Looking close…on Friday! The theme this Friday is bubbles.
Sharing life with a 15-month old is about rediscovering the simple things.
What we see: blowing bubbles in a back yard that was recently torn up for foundation work, has a massive hole you can sprain your ankle on and a dead mouse.
What she sees: bubbles!!!

Another image from Saturday's Worldwide Photowalk in Lakeland, FL ...
Water splashing down the tri-level fountain at Munn Park in downtown Lakeland makes all kinds of interesting patterns.
Thank you all for hanging in with me, in spite of my inability to respond - you all are the best of Flickr. A little story to share that is emblematic of where we are as a country right now - yesterday a lady came in to interview for the job in my room. I guess she was maybe late 40's or early 50's and I asked her about her background. She replied education, so of course I asked what level. I almost keeled over at her reply - she has just finished getting her Master's, took out a second mortgage on their home to pay for it and now there is no work. She is reduced to looking for work in day care. Yikes. I do this, even tho I have a degree in biology, for many reasons, but to be faced with that?? How awful and how very discouraging. Poor lady. And of course, she is now facing that dilemma - will anyone hire her because she is so over-qualified and they fear she will leave as soon as something better comes along. Probably not while she is desperate. How sad ....
Happy Bokeh Wednesday to all - I will be happy to see this week end as it has been busier than I ever dreamed!! :-(
- Two merged soap bubbles provide the optimum way of enclosing two given volumes of air of different size with the least surface area.
