I bought one of these for the kiddos I nanny for but when I opened it and saw it matched my farmers' market stand, I HAD to keep it! They were really sad that I "stole" their bubble machine so we had to go buy another turbo bubble machine!

Genuine bubbles!
My first attempt at Macro photography. I found the focusing rather tricky but still liked the result. Also used a texture layer in PS to give additional colour.
Now the snow has gone Evan has taken to getting out with his bubble-mower! I looked out the window to see his bubbles sitting on the frosty grass and raced out to get some shots.
The longevity of a soap bubble is limited by the ease of rupture of the very thin layer of water which constitutes its surface, namely a micron-thick soap film. (Wikipedia).
Backstory: on January 1st, some crazy people in Pesaro take a bath at around noon in the chilly waters of the Adriatic Sea to salute the new year. There was a guy blowing huge bubbles just before the event and I managed to capture this candid portrait near the seaport.

Cabin fever is setting in. Now I'm trying to blow bubbles out in the cold. Not as easy as one thinks.
