Not a cloud in the sky nor a degree on the thermometer as yesterday saw a high of 0F/-17C. Pleasant viewing...but briefly.

We had a enjoyable visit to the the RHS garden at Harlow Carr near Harrogate last week . It was a bright crisp day with just a little snow on the ground . The snow certainly helped these bright Cornus alba 'Sibirica' shrubs to look their best

It has been a miserable week of weather here with unrelenting heavy rain and flooding in the lowlands, and the mountain passes rendered inaccessible and closed due to heavy snow, whiteout conditions, and extreme avalanche danger. At times like these, when I am unable to get out to hike, I am glad to have photos and memories to return to. In these recollections I can feel the warmth and joy, and find some needed brightness to penetrate the layers of gray.
I positioned this bright white Clematis to cheer up a dark corner in the garden. It has turned out to be quite stunning !
Posting this gorgeous bouquet in hopes that Spring will soon be on it's way! Happy Sunday my friends, enjoy =)

Just two days ago, the day was bright and full of sunshine with a few nice clouds about. So off I went with my camera to explore the lesser known local area. I found this delightful hilly road - nearly got run over taking this picture ! Hardly any traffic, but of course, there was that one car which turned up out of the blue as I stood in the middle of the road. Never mind, the driver was very friendly and courteous.
I do like to put some music I like to my photo paintings, so here's one you might like too.
