The old school in Bagley Iowa. They built these building to survive. I dont know of any modern construction that would still be stantding in this shape.
This must be a long-gone brickmaker as College Road in Masborough, Rotherham, has shown no signs of brickwork activity for many years. From early 19th century maps there is a possible location at a 'Chemical Works', the site of which is now a roundabout - shown on the map.
Found in Buck Wood, Thackley.
Likely manufacturer: Johnson & Wroe of Queens Road and Elland Road, Leeds.
The last standing brick building on the former Fort Ord.
I hope it escapes the wrecking ball. It would make a nice little coffee shop someday.

A marquette of a large sculpture for Leeds city centre.
The artist, Anthony Gormley had the concept to have an iconic landmark sculpture of the human form.
The 30m high brick structure, would have had an entrance in the heel and a viewing platform in one eye.
The proposal was rejected by a conservative city counci in 1988.
Gormley went on to design several other large human form sculptures, including Angel of the North in Gateshead and Another Place on Merseyside.

Experiment, did not look through the viewfinder while taking majority* of these photos, just pointed the camera in a general direction, clicked the shutter and hoped for a decent result.
