You have heard of the Tate Bricks. Now this!

 

This type of bricks are used for paving the paths on campus, rather than using gravel which is more appropriate as it allows water to seep into the ground. These 6 are now installed in my office. The rare observant visitor asks about them.

This year's Brick Fiesta was a bit underwhelming compared to the last two, and I didn't exactly help matters by hardly building all year. But had a good time hanging out with Steve.

Found in mine remains at Blaen Bran, Upper Cwmbran.

The parts out of the bag - 2.

Ok guys, firstly I will be leaving on vacation on Monday (that is the reason I can't exhibit) and will be coming back the day before Brick Fair! I will be bringing stuff like my BA and Custom stuff.

The multi colored bricks that make up this building

Fort Scott National Historic Site, Fort Scott, Kansas.

As you can see these are not uniform in size, shape or color. They are all hand made, air dried and then stacked up in a huge igloo styled pile. The inside is then filled with anything that will burn - pallets, cactus, cow manure, coconut husks and tires. It is then lit. When the fire goes out, they turn the bricks over and do it again.
