Built for round one of the RogueOlympics. The first category was “Above the Clouds”. After some deliberation, I decided on building a fantasy airship for a couple goblins. I ended up using 96 parts total.

Here is my second build for the CCC, this time in the Medieval Shop category. The bakery changed a lot during the build process, but I’m very pleased with how it turned out. And for the first time since moving to Billund, I actually included an interior!

Kym’s small bakery in Allanar Forest is well known for its delightful breads and pastries. She has plenty of Dwelven and Adventurer’s Guild customers, along with an abundance of flying friends who enjoy the surplus seeds she readily shares.

RogueBricks Annual challenge is based around celebrating 90 years of amazing LEGO sets, and for my first contribution I made a Aqua Sharks submarine. I had a blast building this and hope to do quite a few more models inspired by past themes. The main sub features an opening cockpit along with a small cargo bay. The terrain colors were based off the raised baseplate from the Aquasharks theme.

Here is the completed Adventurers collab that John and I built. As stated before, inspiration was taken from Mark of Falworth and Grant Davis.

Johnny Thunder and his team of Adventurers have discovered an uncharted jungle island. Within the dense vegetation they find the entrance to a ruined temple! After leaping from pillar to pillar, over the crocodile swamp, Johnny reaches the gateway. They’re not the first ones there though, as the treasure-seeking gang boss, G.R. Edy is there with some henchmen. Will Johnny be able to prevail, and will Dr. Kilroy fall to the alligators?

The relict we discovered and brought to the temple recently has proven to be highly interesting. While its form looks organic at first, it was definitely artificially constructed. We did not dare to touch it, yet, but first analysis revealed it to be slightly warmer than room temperature. It seems to emit a slight glow at all times, which seems to be pulsating in a way. Research suggests it is at least a few thousand years old and some of the markings scratched into the outside suggest its has been involved in the Mandalorian wars to some extend. The most unnerving thing however is how it feels in the force. It almost feels… alive in a way. The force is in turmoil whenever it is around. My master and me are now preparing to meditate and grasp the traces it leaves in the force. Maybe this will be the key to both, past and future of the force.

I am back! I assembled this little vignette months ago, but only now got to take photos of it. More builds are on the way though, with a big one coming up mid march!

Built for the large miscellaneous category of the 14th Colossal Castle Contest. The scene was inspired by this image: img03.deviantart.net/4e75/i/2011/183/7/0/fantasy_matte_pa.... It took about 2 weeks to build, and weighs 24.8 pounds, making it my largest solo build ever. Setting up the buildings layout and connecting them via bridges was the most challenging part, though the rockwork was most time consuming to build.

Qasr Albahr is a large trade citadel in the Spice Islands of Kaliphlin. It serves as a hub of the trade between the islands and mainland Kaliphlin. Its climbing bridges and ornate walls are well known throughout Historica.

Built for the “Historical Build” category of the 2016 MOCathalon over on MOCpages. I chose to do part of a Persian style building, the Badshahi Mosque. Getting the patterns to looks similar to the real mosque was pretty difficult, but in the end I’m satisfied with the result.

My eighth entry for ABS Builder challenge. This was a really fun build to make, especially all the different chocolates. I tried to go for a rather rich, dark colorscheme, which I think ended up looking quite nice. The dark red seed part is used 40 times.

5 Thurloe Square is a block of flats in South Kensington, London. The triangular building is 6 feet (1.8 m) wide at its narrowest. It was built between 1885 and 1887 by William Douglas on an area of land left over after the construction of South Kensington tube station. The building was initially used as artist studios. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thin_House)

In December 2025 Flat A, a 1 bedroom flat, was valued at an astonishing £953,000 themovemarket.com/tools/propertyprices/flat-a-5-thurloe-s...

Alternatively, the title could be, ‘A Lot of Snow’. My eleventh entry for ABS Builder challenge. This build was basically two days of nearly non-stop building; one to build the bridge, sleigh, and water/underwater section, and one to make all of the snow and finishing details such as the trees. The dark red seed part is used 8 times in the sleigh.

More pictures.

My first model of 2017, I have had the idea for this build for sometime, and finally found time to do it. The building is modeled after Bits and Pieces, the general store in Solitude from the game Skyrim. I used the same stonework design as I did in my Nordheim Farmhouse creation, though this time in dark bley. A tutorial for that technique is available. The rather complex layout of the building offered some challenges to recreate in LEGO, but I’m quite pleased with the finished result. It lifts off the base and hinges open to reveal the full interior.

Following up on my tribute to Carrie Fisher's (1956-2016) character princess Leia, I have built R2-D2 and gave Leia neck and waist articulation, and swapped her weapon for her personal blaster. Here she is giving R2-D2 the stolen plans to the Death Star from the beginning scene of Star Wars : A New Hope.

More pictures to follow of both Leia and R2-D2. His 3rd leg retracts inside of him, head rotates and side legs pivot. :)

Sorry for the somewhat poor photo quality, my iPhone doesn't handle low light well. Orange light glow is from my salt block lamp.

Up to round 6 in the RogueOlympics now and our build prompt was “Impulse”. I decided to base my entry on the ever impulsive Calvin as one of his alter-egos Spaceman Spiff from the comics Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. The scene uses exactly 101 parts and Spiff does fit in his spaceship.

-FEBROVERY 2023-

CMBR - Transport Rig

CMBR - Autoscouter

CMBR - Mushroom Planet Coloniser

For this collab, instead of setting a theme, we made a moodboard. One image per person, and we all drew inspiration from the lot. It's a very fun format, and I'm already excited for the next CMB, whether it's rovers or anything else.

It wasn't coordinated, but the three rovers are almost the same size; see the group shot on Brickbuilt.

Yes, I used the Jungle Cutter trick—the saw blades spin when you push the rover. Also, the hubcaps have a fixed orientation even when the wheels are rolling.

Can you guess who added which of the three images?

You can see the moodboard on Brickbuilt.

It was a ton of fun to do more building in the Isles of Aura for Brickworld, especially as part of a large group display with InnovaLUG.

This was one of the smaller contributions Isaac and I put together, but I’m really happy with how the homestead turned out.

Inspiration for the chicken coop came from Brother Steven.

Graham edited this picture for me, thanks Graham!

My sixth build for the RogueOlympics. This week’s theme was ‘Nature’, so I decided to try my hand at another bird – something I’ve only done once before, but have wanted to try again for a while now. I used 101 parts total.

My entry for Guilds of Historica Book III Challenge IV, Category A. I really wanted to sneak a build in for this challenge, and also saw it as a chance to have fun with another large Kaliphlin city – something I haven’t done for quite a while. It weighs in at 34.8 pounds, making it my largest MOC so far both in footprint and weight. Very glad to be done with this though – now our desk isn’t mostly covered by a single build! Well, once it’s taken apart anyways…

A build that was basically an exploration of illegal building techniques. If you want a closer look head on over to bricknerd.com/home/how-to-build-a-lego-cottage-in-the-mos... and have a read :)

The deer is of course based off Grantmasters old design. Cheers!

My fourth entry to the CCC XIV, for the Woodland Hideaway category. The layout and design of the house were inspired by this image, img06.deviantart.net/160c/i/2015/355/6/7/cottage_in_the_w.... The bottom-right window lights up, and the river is made of SNOT cheese slopes.

One of the three large islands that John and I contributed to the Isles of Aura display at Brickworld. I’ve been wanting to build a monastery for a while, and this was a great opportunity to do so and to use dark orange 1×1 round bricks that we had gotten from LUGbulk last year. I also used plenty of tan 1×1 quarter circle tiles in the courtyard.

Olureon Monastery is well known for its beautiful terra-cotta roofs and carefully kept gardens. Both the Vermillion and Cerulean kingdoms respect the monastery’s non-violent approach to life, making it a safe haven even in times of strife.

Here is part one of my series of prize models for the Collaborative category of this year’s Summer Joust. There were a bunch of categories I was inspired by this year, so decided to incorporate quite a few with this series: 12×12 Vignette, Monastery, Asian Setting, and of course, Through the Seasons.

My ninth build for ABS Builder challenge. This was another really fun build which I’m quite pleased with. The mushrooms themselves came together pretty quickly, and after that it was just a matter of making the surrounding landscape for them in which I was able to utilize a few of our Duplo foliage elements. Inspiration for the base goes to Legopard.

My entry for round 2 of the Minfig Face Off. The theme for this round is: Music to my Ears (Singers and Songwriters), with stipulation: Brickbuilt bodies. Check out the creative entry of my opponent rossfisher2!

What an adventure this was! I have so little music knowledge that I was afraid I'd never come up with something for this round. But the extra brick build bodies challenge made me think of a moonwalking Michael Jackson and that really stuck. I think this brick body is quite large for its head, but I liked it so much I dind't want to change the scale.

As the final rays of sunshine slowly started to give way for the coming night, there was a sudden silence in the air around Myleth Dorei and the nearby fishing village...

My second entry for Summer Joust, this one in the high fantasy category. Hope you like it!

I'll post some more shots of it on my IG, as well as a video on Youtube youtu.be/GWEjkE29ZOI if anyone wants a closer look in the coming days :)

An ancient monastery rests atop Umezawa's Bluffs. Though the demeanour of the monks who live there may be strange, they have provided a much needed refuge to many a weary traveler...

I had an idea a while back to make a vertical castle. The rock face you see here is built studs-out, with various buildings resting on ledges. The result is a somewhat portable build that I was able to take across the country to Bricks in the Six in Toronto last summer. Clearly my upload schedule is on point. Enjoy!

My first entry for the Unleash your own genetically modified hybrid dinosaur! contest on LEGO IDEAS.

It's (obviously), an hybrid between the ankylosaurus (actually my ankylosaurus) and the triceratops. You can see the 3D model on Mecabricks.

The base was inspired by the Irregular SNOT Base Tutorial by -soccerkid6.

My entry for round 5 of the Middle Earth LEGO Olympics. My category was Valinor from The Silmarilion, and I chose to recreate the Kinslaying at Alqualondë. The build was loosely inspired by this image, particularly the landscaping. It took 7 days to complete, and weighs a whopping 26.2 pounds, making it my largest solo build to date! The build process proved to be very challenging at times, especially the water and mossy hillside. Initially I just was using trans clear 1x2 bricks for the water, but it was warping so much I had to add plates to connect it to the bottom layer of water, so that it would attach correctly.

Below is a summary of the Kinslaying at Alqualondë for those of you who are interested.

"The Kinslaying at Alqualondë was the first slaying of Elf by Elf, and was the act that banned the Ñoldor from returning to Aman, the lands of the West, for centuries. When Fëanor intended to leave Valinor, he needed ships to get to Middle-earth without great loss, but the Ñoldor possessed no ships, and Fëanor feared that any delay in their departure would cause the Ñoldor to reconsider. The Ñoldor, led by Fëanor and his sons, tried to persuade their friends, the Teleri of Alqualondë, to give him their ships. However, the Teleri would not help in any way against the will of the Valar, and in fact attempted to persuade their friends to reconsider and stay in Aman. Unwilling to take "no" for an answer, the Ñoldor started taking the ships and sailing them away. This angered the Teleri, and they threatened the Ñoldor with rocks and arrows, and they threw many of Fëanor's followers out of the ships and into the harbor. They also began to attempt to block the harbour; however, it is only slightly possible that the Teleri drew first blood. Then the Ñoldor drew swords, and the Teleri their bows, and there was a bitter fight that seemed evenly matched, if not even in favor of the Teleri, until the second Host of the Ñoldor, led by Fingon, arrived together with some of Fingolfin's people. Misunderstanding the situation, they assumed the Teleri had attacked the Ñoldor under orders of the Valar, and they joined the fight."

My fourth entry into the 14 Colossal Castle Contest, for the Traveling Salesman Category. I was inspired by the architecture of Dale from The Hobbit, and also Legopard and The Brick Vader’s rendition of Venice. Every building has a full interior.

I've been wanting to build a new Wolverine figure that would be in better proportion to the "claws" that I have. This is one of a small handful that I've built in this scale and the first to feature eyebrows and more realistic eyes. So, what do you think?

Isaac and I collaborated on this Skyrim inspired scene which is a prize in the 12×12 Vignette category of this year’s Summer Joust.

I handled most of the detail work, while Isaac put together the main structure.
