SILENCIO is an experiment on the relationship between image and sound. Three sonic interpretations of a short story were analyzed by a Processing script, resulting in a series of images.

I would not call the Austrian 3+1-tone pre-WWII-scheme spectacular, but the colors are unique. My scheme is based on an Austrian Ju 86 bomber from 1938, so it fits into the intended time frame.

 

The colors were puzzled together from various sources and are subjective guesstimates:

● A pale, yellow-ish beige (Humbrol 74, ‘Linen’, out of production)

● A rather brownish green (Testors 1711, ‘Olive Drab’, FS 34087)

● A dark green with a yellow-ish hue (Humbrol 116, ‘US Dark Green’ FS 34079)

● Light blue for the undersides (Humbrol 65, ‘Aircraft Blue’, RLM 65)

 

In order to add some details I painted the area behind the engine cowling in aluminum. The respective part under the fuselage, where the exhaust gases would pass, was painted in Steel – both Testors Metallizers.

The interior surfaces were painted in a neutral Grey – but with the engine and the pilot in place you cannot see anything of that at all.

Markings are minimal: the Austrian roundels come from a TL Decals aftermarket sheet, the flag on the rudder was laid out with red paint (a mix of Humbrol 19 and 60), the white bar is a decal. The tactical code is fictional, puzzled together from single digits in various sizes (also from TL Modellbau sheets). The original documents how purely black fuselage codes, but I found these hard to read. So I chose digits with a white rim (actually, these belong to modern German Luftwaffe tactical codes in 1:32), which improve contrast a little.

The kit received a thin black ink wash and some shading/dry-painting with lighter basic tones (Humbrol 103, 155, Model Master 2138,‘Israeli Armor Sand Grey’, and Humbrol 122). After decal application, another turn with overall Hemp and Light Grey was done in order to fade contrast and to emphasize the surface structure. The wires were also painted, but only with thinned black ink and a VERY soft brush.

 

Finally, everything was sealed under a spray coat of matt acrylic varnish.

Il silenzio che circondava la piccola spiaggia incastonata in una ancor più piccola insenatura, era mosso solo dal rumore della risacca, che lambiva timida con il suo lento ritmo i sassi acciottolati in successione, uno vicino all'altro, come poltronissime intorno ad un palco. Mancava poco allo spettacolo, e l'attesa era di quelle dolci, che precedono la proiezione di un film, il tuo preferito, visto e rivisto ma che non finirà mai di stupirti e affascinare; aspettando il preludio di quella magica atmosfera che si poteva già cogliere nell'assoluta pace marina, assaporando lo iodio che ora giungeva pungente portato da una leggera brezza che cercava invano di rapire le nuvole.

I piedi immersi nell'acqua avrebbero voluto raggiungere quello scoglio in mezzo al mare, per essere ancora più vicini all'abbraccio delle onde, ma rimasero di sasso, saldamente ancorati alla terra ferma, mentre un primo brivido raggiungeva e inondava lentamente i sensi, gli occhi ormai persi nelle varie sfumature al volgersi del giorno, la mente volata via, ancora oltre quello scoglio, su quella vela che ora lenta nel passare tagliava l'orizzonte.

The silence that sourrounded the little bay sets in a more littler inlet, was mouved only by the sound of undertow, that shyly laps with its slowly rhythm the stones placed in succession, one near the other, like front stalls around a stage. It last few at the spectacle, and the wait was ones of the sweetest, that, that preceded the projection of a film, yours favourite one, view and review but that didn't have finish to surprise and fashinating you; waiting for a prelude of the by now magic atmosphere that you could feel in the absolute sea peaceful, tasting the iodine that now became sharp brought by a gentle breeze that was trying in vain to kidnap clouds.

The feet deps into water would have wanted to reach that rock in the middle of the sea, for beeing more near to the embrace of the waves, but remained still likes part of that stones, solid anchorated on still earth, meanwhile a first thrill was reaching and flooding slowly other senses, eyes by then lost in the various tones of day's end, the mind, flew-away, more over that rock, on that sailing boat that now with its slowly passing by cut the horizont line.

with a tender and nostalgic smile on my lips,

centro della città,

brezza calda,

musica nell'aria,sabato,gente che cerca felicità,

io sono un pò scostato e li guardo

Alla fine degli anni Novanta, in un’ottica di ristrutturazione del centro storico e di alcune zone cittadine, la piazza viene rivista con la realizzazione di una bella fontana e di una pavimentazione a ciotoli, restituendola ad un rango decisamente piu’ dignitoso. Dove d’estate giovani e turisti fanno capannello nelle gelaterie, che per l’occasione si attrezzano con estensioni esterne (tende) dove ospitare i propri clienti e godere la fresca brezza notturna.

 

Yenne square is a beautiful pittoresque square in central Cagliari.The square lies in the center of Cagliari's most important shopping area, and it's surrended by suggestive narrow streets filled with craftman's shops, restaurants, pizzerias, ice-cream parlours, bookstores, churches and nightspots. Cagliari is the Sardinian capital and has a population of 250,000 most living away from the centre. There are lovely lagoons around the city bursting with bird life. The city comes alive in the evenings when families stroll the Via Manno to meet and greet.

The shopping is based below that in the Piazza Yenne. The port is located below and is the heart of the nightlife.

caribe never get you tired, you would always be amazed by the mexican caribe inhabitants kindness, taste their simple delicious food, delight your eyes admiring the girls, their beauty and enchanting smile.

Swimming into crystal clear water and sunbathing into hot air, pleasantly softened by a slight sea breeze…but I'm the one who will never be satisfied and this last pic is linked to my future journeys, islands which lie in the middle of caribbean sea, islands of the smiles, the islands of happiness….

 

il caribe non ti stanca mai, vorresti sempre assaporare la cordialità della gente, deliziare il tuo palato con il loro cibo povero ma squisito, essere coccolato dalla bellezza delle ragazze e dal loro eterno sorriso, fare il bagno in acque cristalline e prendere il sole intenso ma piacevolmente mitigato da una leggera brezza marina...ma io non mi accontento mai e sicuramente quest'ultima foto ha molto a che fare con i miei prossimi viaggi…terre bagnate da questo meraviglioso mare, isole del sorriso, isole della felicità…

Is it possible that the havoc and chaos behind the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix street construction and preparation have discouraged people from visiting Las Vegas — so perhaps you don’t need to make dinner reservations. So now you can either do Steak at Carversteak, Italian at Brezza, Japanese at Kusa Nori, or maybe Mexican at VIVA! ☺️ Would you like to do steak dinner at Wally’s again? In 1997, the Stardust Ballroom, and the high-rise guest tower at the Stardust Hotel & Casino, had occupied the North half of what is now Resorts World, including Brezza, Eight, and Bar ZAZU. Back then, you and your very lovely lady had booked your hotel guest room for seven days. Y’all wanted to arrive at the Stardust Hotel & Casino two nights early so that you two could practice your ballroom dance routines on the ballroom floor. You two were Gold Standard dancers performing both the Open-Amateur American-Smooth (4-Dance) and the Open-Amateur American-Rhythm (5-Dance) — Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, and the Foxtrot; Cha-Cha, Rumba, Bolero, Swing, and the Mambo! You and your lady danced all nine of the Arthur Murray American-Style dances. You two were the top ballroom dance couple at your dance studio — and the one couple most able to qualify for a national dance championship! You two danced very hard way back then here at the Stardust Hotel & Casino. You and your very lovely lady left your hearts here over the years of your ballroom dance career -- perhaps that's why you can't seem to stay away? 🤔 Are you a Ghost!
