Would Germany lose jobs in (automotive) manufacturing if the UK left with no deal and import tariffs were levied on German marques?
Of course, Japanese manufacturers may sell fewer cars, especially near Swindon and near Sunderland or even beyond, as many people will be seeking work and may harbour some ill will towards Japanese brands
The fact that the EU finally gave Japan a trade deal on car imports a month or so before the long-stated Brexit date is merely a coincidence.

Of course if you're wondering if there are any exceptions to any car marques receiving state aid, in contravention of long-standing EU regulations that would be up to you to research.
Naturally, Rolls Royce is not in British hands, nor is Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar, etc and so on...

Designed on my plane back from UK which I visited just days after the Brexit vote. The British Flag itself can be used as a tessellation molecule and tiled. I plan to fold a tiled version of this Union Jack Tessellation when time allows.
