...is the scheduled withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU). Following a June 2016 referendum, in which 51.9% of participating voters voted to leave, the UK government formally announced the country's withdrawal in March 2017, starting a two-year process that was due to conclude with the UK withdrawing on 29 March 2019. As the UK parliament thrice voted against the negotiated withdrawal agreement, that deadline has been extended twice, and is currently 31 October 2019.

That is, of course,
until Ireland and Scotland secede.
Designed on my plane back from UK which I visited just days after the Brexit vote. The British Flag itself can be used as a tessellation molecule and tiled. I plan to fold a tiled version of this Union Jack Tessellation when time allows.

Taken at the People’s March in London last year, when thousands of Pro Europeans demonstrated against Brexit. All in vain and we now seem to be sleep walking towards leaving in a couple of months time with barely a murmur...You might almost think Boris and co have arranged Covid-19 as a diversionary tactic!
