March for a People's Vote on Brexit organised by the Put It To The People campaign. In my estimate, this demonstration was as big as the anti-Iraq war protest in 2003, so about one million people. It may also be fair to say that this protest was not only political (clearly anti-Brexit and pro-Europe) but also morally motivated: people felt manipulated and that they had been fed lies.
I saw this little Chap at Chester Zoo..........he was Wondering about Brexit, and will it affect Him??

I have alienated the tattoos of the young junkie and deliberately I show no shooting data so that the poor chap cannot be identified. Also the location of the photograph remains my secret.
The picture expresses my current mood...

It was great for us finding this british oldie unexpectedly abandoned in the middle of nowhere. A day later of the famous UK´s EU divorce.

An anti-Brexit protestor outside Parliament in London (after I took this picture I went to see the Taylor-Wessing portrait photography exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery and coincidentally this lady was in one of the shortlisted pictures).
Tensions are running high here over the whole Brexit debacle.

Article 50 was triggered today (I don't want to listen to the news for 2 years! - it will just be so depressing with inaccurate predictions).

To see Richard Goodwin throw his muscle Pitts S-2S around the sky is always something special, pictures can never really do his display justice, if only to freeze in part his mesmerizing twist and turns for posterity.

"Oh no it's just a 47" that would have been the cry here in the late '70s, but now 40 years later, a novelty, and a reason to get to my local station early on a Sunday morning.
47810 (D1924) makes a fine sight on the first morning of British Summer Time, rounding the bend towards Woodlesford with 5Z54 09:15 Neville Hill to York empty stock for the return Brexit Express to Bristol.
Out of curiosity, I did a little research into this 47, the renumbering to 47810 was after I'd put away my spotting books, its previous identity of 47247 is much more familiar to me. Now I wish I'd not bothered with the research, even more depressing it turns out I'm older than this ancient diesel!

Good. UK did the right thing. It will find it's way. UK has been around a while. Now the Nannycrats will scream, and the press will spread ill rumors. But things shall turn out better because the people are in control. We hope.

Off the fence ... :-( Our Robin is replying to your Robin Ed ... :-D
I think she might be drying out from all the rain we have had. Funny bahaviour but she gets up and flies off. I think it's called sunning ... ☺
What does Brexit mean?
It is a word that has become used as a shorthand way of saying the UK leaving the EU - merging the words Britain and exit to get Brexit, in a same way as a possible Greek exit from the euro was dubbed Grexit in the past.
Why is Britain leaving the European Union?
A referendum - a vote in which everyone (or nearly everyone) of voting age can take part - was held on Thursday 23 June 2016, to decide whether the UK should leave or remain in the European Union. Leave won by 52% to 48%. The referendum turnout was 71.8%, with more than 30 million people voting.
