High above Llyn Dywarchen sits this little Hawthorn tree. I managed to make the climb in between the showers, but got drenched on the way back to the van.
A series of images from an assault on Glaramara in the English Lake District in July 2021 that was abandoned due to clag (low cloud).
Between Edmonton and Calgary along the highway, this place was blessed by the presence of the heavens.

Beams of sunlight pierce through the fog at sunrise over the Samuel H Boardman State Park in Oregon. The park is on the southern Oregon coast is but a part of several geological wonders witnessed as nature’s wonder on the Oregon coast. The length of the park is 20 miles along the coast and that means 20 miles of spectacular beauty, coastal headlands, hiking trails and more. Seaside prairies, spectacular vistas, secluded cove beaches, rugged cliffs and forested sea stacks come one after the other at this park.
Another image of the sunset at Langstone Harbour, Hayling Island, Hampshire last Sunday evening.
It really was a wonderful sunset with lots of colour reflecting on the still waters of the harbour, this image was taken shortly before my previous post showing the rays of sun breaking through the clouds.
1/8 second exposure using a Lee 0.9 + 0.6 (reversed) ND Grad filters.

My previous two photos showed the sun trying to break through some storm clouds. When I looked in the opposite direction this is what I saw when the sun briefly lit the foothills of the Aspen Range of the Rocky Mountains.
We had to break through and melt the ice so Lenny could get his morning drink! this is the only water he will drink.
A break in the clouds lights up an area of the petrified sand dunes in Arches National Park with the LaSal Mountains in the background.
