The sun starts to break through the morning fog catching one pelican in this group of intermingling double-crested cormorants and American white pelicans. I thought about lowering the exposure for a different mood, but stayed with this as it's more reflective of the actual scene. It works either way. White Rock Lake, Dallas, Texas, USA, November 2016

While spending a few weeks along the MRL subdivisions in Western Montana I experienced quite the spring thunderstorms hit the area and often making it difficult to go out and shoot. A few days in on the trip the luck came to my side and had some break in cloud cover making for some spectacular scenes to see. On a more clear afternoon a coal train destined for Roberts Bank export in Canada starts its ascent out of Helena, Montana up towards Mullan Pass.
I’m lacking motivation to get out and take photographs at the moment. I’m sure I was feeling that way when I took this image back at the start of February.
Today I added the Break 130 Couples Pose to the scene I created for TheSinner's Ignis Falls Fountain and it went together like a horse and carriage. :-)

Waiting for our canal boat (Little Star) to arrive to take us on a leisure trip from Trevor basin along unesco world heritage site Pontcystyllte Aqueduct.

Just breaking - Dawn at Ribblehead Viaduct with the sun just breaking from behind Pen-y-Ghent. As the January sky ignites with a vivid intensity, Ribblehead viaduct stands silhouetted, towering over Batty Moss below. Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Morden stream is a tributary of the river Tamar, which runs through Comfort Woods on the Cotehele estate.
Half a mile up the stream from Cotehele Quay is Cotehele Mill, powered by the water which flows from a weir a little further upstream. Ordinarily, the weir regulates the water flowing to the mill and a sluice gate allows the water to enter a leat. Water flows down the leat to the mill to turn the waterwheel.
Following flash flooding in December 2020, the weir was washed away and has yet to be fully repaired.
Was waiting for a sunrise burn which didnt happen... but thought it would be cool to do a pano stitch of the light breaking through the low hanging fog. I especially like how the water surrounding Alcatraz was lit by the leaking light.
This year, spring is coming early to Newfoundland. You are looking at the ice break-up on New World Island. Harp seals were sunning themselves on the ice this Easter weekend but I couldn't get a photo because they were too far away. In a couple of weeks, the seals should be closer to shore on the pack ice..
