I mentioned earlier that the front door of this farmhouse, which I first photographed in December, had been forced open to the elements. Since my last visit, the door has been partially broken and still has not been boarded up. This seems to be another example of an abandoned farmhouse with no one looking after it. There was no signage on the property.

I never noticed before but there are no front steps and the door is quite high off the ground.

This is the beautiful early flowering magnolia at Hidcote - I will make another visit very soon!

You have to master the rules before you can break them.

UNESCO has described this World Heritage Site as a " Masterpiece " of creative genius.

It Spans the Dee Valley in Wales, at 307m [ 1,007 ft ] long and 38m high, supported by 19 hollow masonry pillars.

It was one of the first projects to use cast iron on such a large scale, and the height of the construction was a significant engineering challenge

One of the best sunsets we had this year. It had just stopped raining when I took this and the whole place was trenched (so was I). Definitely worth it though :)

For all those of you who have been to the south of Iceland this will hardly be a unique image. For those that haven’t, well if you ever do go to Iceland do take the opportunity to visit Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon which is the counterpoint to Diamond Beach. Icebergs calve off the glacier and float serenely across the lagoon in search of freedom not realising that as they float out to sea a lot of them will only experience freedom temporarily before being swept back into Diamond Beach in a somewhat reduced state.

The lagoon has icebergs of all sorts of colours and shapes so you will never have exactly the same shots on any 2 visits. For me that iceberg with the vertical dark bands (presumably fine volcanic rock ground as the glacier flowed) was what caught my eye. The aqua blues are lovely to my eye.

I’d have loved to get some long exposures but the icebergs move a surprising amount - well they did when I was there - so I wasn't able to get any. After having gone to Diamond Beach for sunrise I think I could have spent the rest of the day around the lagoon exploring but heh-ho, workshops never stay put for long and it was onward to the next location after about 45mins.

Li ho voluti provare per capire quali virtù fuori dall'ordinario avessero!!! Buoni ma è normale che ci sia tutta questa rincorsa all'accaparramento???? mah!!!
