I am sorry I didn't post any holiday love for you all this Christmas! It's been crazy busy! However, even though it's late, I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and I wish you all the best in the new year.
Thank you for all your support this year.
It's meant the world to me, and I can't wait to see the photos of next year!
Boxing Day! The roads are still closed (day 4). The storm is over, but we are still experiencing snow squalls. We are fortunate to have power still. It is a great day to stay under a warm & cozy quilt with a good book and a cup of something hot!
... it was cold.
(I'm out tomorrow, but I'll catch up with all your photos soon. Thanks for all your comments over the past couple of days, everyone.)

Boxing Day...snow!
Walking up to the top of the hill in the snow, this has always been a great place to take your sledge. Lovely memories!
Few months ago I took a picture during the 2013 boxing day. It is called 'sale', showing a girl leaned to a banner. It is a technically good picture. But, actually, I have two shots from that boxing day photo hunting. And it is this picture that telling a strong story, juxtaposition and social criticism. Unfortunately, it is blurry and I thought that a good street photography should be technically good. Until recently I read a quote from Valerie Jardin said that 'when you have to compromise between the technically perfect shot and the story, the story always wins!'
So here it is the 'Sale selected rebel' taken at Sydney CBD, January 2014.
Rich enjoying his new nikon lens!
my plastic camera was feeling slightly small....
and I was lagging behind as I kept needing to change my film ;-)
The southern branch of my family came for the day to eat lunch and exchange Christmas presents. The temperature was a few degrees above freezing, and although it was not windy, it felt very cold outside. We still had a walk to the beach after lunch. The photo was taken about 3.20pm, with sunset at at 3.59.
The traditional Boxing Day meal consists of cold meat and fried mashed vegetables left over from Christmas Day.
