Doing one of her favourite things - squeezing her large self into a tiny box. She vanished on December 5, 2013.

P.S. She reappeared 10 days later. She'd been locked in a garage. She must have surved by eating mice.

Nice old telephone box in Strathaven

But Amazon loves me.

This is my “Black Palm, Satinwood and Lacewood” Ring Box. It measures 3 1/2” x 3 1/2” and is 2” high. There are 72 pieces, both full and half size diamonds and triangles, on this box. On the top there are 32 half-size pieces where it would normally have 16 full size pieces. It is finished in its natural color with 1 coat of varnish brushed on and 3 coats of clear wiping varnish, rubbed in by hand. The pieces are a bit over 3/16” thick, glued onto a Baltic Birch base.

The type of wood is listed on the bottom of the box from the center out. On this box is “Black Palm” from Indonesia. (I cut this wood at an angle to give the black dots a different look.) “Satinwood” from Sri Lanka is a wood with a beautiful golden satiny luster to it. Then “Lacewood” from Australia is a wood that has a nice coppery sheen to it.

This box is all made from very exotic wood.

I made this box in 2004. On the bottom I signed it, listed the wood, and dated it. After the date, the words “Foot Cut” let you know I made it on a foot powered table saw.

It is lined with black velveteen. It has 3 “ring pads” on the bottom forming 2 slots about 2 ½” long, for rings.

Xena on a shoe box. I bought new hiking boots so Xena must sleep on the box.

This is the ultimate letter box just outside Deepwater NSW. Yes I confess I am a Dr Who nerd, thus the scarf I brought along for the photos :) The Daleks had better not tangle with Dr Who's companion Mumma J!

very few things bring me as much joy as a cat in a box.

Journalling reads: I wish I could explain why whenever I have a parcel delivered, both you and Lukas are both always anxiously awaiting me opening it. Not because you are even interested in the contents, but because you can’t wait to fight with each other over who gets to play in the box. Even at Christmas time you are always more interested in the packaging than the present inside. The part that I find strange is that when Lukas was little he was always using his imagination to make the box into something else, rocket ships, cars, buses and play houses were usually popular choices for him, but you well you just prefer to sit inside them. You park them in front of the television and just sit down and watch tv, Climbing in and out to retrieve various toys and stuff until the box breaks. Strange boy!

can you ear my diabolical laughing ? ;)

large red box crossing the road

I call this kind of box a "Schrodinger's Box" as a reference to the fact that it's made as one large box, and until you slice off the lid, there's just no telling WHAT might be inside... Maybe even Schrodinger's Cat

Ususally there's just sawdust, but you never know....

The dark wood is walnut, the top is quilted maple with a walnut stripe.

2 1/2 x 4 3/4" decorated match boxes. The outside of the box was wrapped in scrapbook paper. The top is decorated with vintage items: buttons, beads, ribbon, and gold trim. The drawer is covered in paper with a vintage button and ribbon bow drawer pull.

We were invited at Monica's place to try out Fox in a Box, a concept where you get a box filled with all the ingredients for a wonderful evening with friends. Needless to say we had lots of fun.

Note: box does *not* include foxy ladies.

FIELD MARK-The box turtle or box tortoise is a genus of turtle native to North America (United States and Mexico). The 12 taxa which are distinguished in the genus are distributed over four species. It is largely characterized by having a domed shell, which is hinged at the bottom, allowing the animal to close its shell tightly to escape predators.

Each destiny is wrapped in a colorful box, full of mystery and uncertainty. Sometimes the choice is coated with docile words and exciting colors but when you open it, your world is turned into a black and white film that only you have to bear...

Choosing your destiny is always a lonely experience...

Sue's and Kate's magnificent sewing boxes. Both were garage sale finds, I think.

My tan Aki arrived this morning! I got a calendar 'cause of the event maybe?
