On November 1, 2007, this beautiful baby came into the lives of my friends, Cathy & Lou.
She has brought to their aching hearts, joy and laughter. Elements that have been missing for sometime due to each of them dealing with serious illness and the declining health of their beloved boxer, Anne. Skye has not replaced Anne in their hearts, but she has brought happiness and hope. It is good to see my friends smiling and laughing again and I am happy to be able to take pictures of Skye for them. Skye came from a litter of ten and was on the skinny side. I am happy to report she has gained 1lb. 15oz. and has outgrown her collar in a matter of 12 days

Thank you everyone, this made Explore
Been very busy recently. Almost forgot to upload this weeks entry to the 52 project....
1 x Strobe to camera left on 1/4 power shoot-through umbrella.
George made friends with a very unusually friendly staffy today.
Usually I keep him leashed around dogs with a bit of a reputation but this one was great!
Geek stuff: 1 x Yongnou flashgun to my right, with snoot / honeycomb attached. Full power.
No matter what day of the week it is, his ears find all kinds of different positions to sit in. Each time it's different.
He's growing up so fast! I carried all my lighting equipment with me, yet one of the few naturally lit pictures I took turned out to be the best. I've had some stinking luck with my Strobe project - 2 nights in a row I've lugged my lighting equipment around with me and for 2 nights I've ended up with naff all worthy of seeing the light of day!

This morning, I woke up & kissed my Dad's head.
I peed on the carpet, then went back to bed.
"The life of a puppy, oh my, this is great."
Then I thought about breakfast, "I hope it's not late."
Mom took me outside, we walked for a while.
This never fails to make Mama smile.
I sniffed of everything, that we did pass, I ate something weird - it gave me gas.
I'm sure God loves me, I know that is true.
He gave me so many great things to chew.
Rugs, plants or rocks, I really don't care.
What I truely like best, is Dad's underwear.
That obedience book, was sort of yummy.
Though it didn't sit well on my poor puppy tummy.
I threw up a bit, but that was all right.
When Mom found it later, I was well out of sight.
I made streamers of T.P, while running at full speed.
Mom is pretty quick - but I was still in the lead.
I flew under the bed, and Mom flew past,
She stopped-shook her head, and breathed, "You're too fast."
Mama later phoned Daddy, and said, "it was frightening!"
That afternoon, she was sure I'd pooped lightening.
She'd sat at the computer, while I chewed the cord,
She thought I was mad, but I was just bored.
When Mama had enough, couldn't take anymore,
That's when my tushy got shoved out the door.
I love it inside, but outside is best.
Lay in the cool grass, and had a good rest.
That didn't last long, there was too much to do -
Can't quite remember where I hid Daddy's shoe.
I found an old bone, and scratched at a flea,
I watched the dumb squirrels as they jumped in a tree.
I barked at the kids, when they got off the bus.
I can't figure out why this makes Mama fuss.
I barked at the neighbor, I barked at the wind.
I barked and I barked, till Mom yelled,"Come in!"
The sun dipped in the west - soon Daddy would come!
I sure love my Daddy: We always have fun.
I barked at my Daddy, then turned on my charms,
I woo-wooed,"Hello", then jumped in his arms.
Sitting under the table - it's so hard to wait.
Daddy slipped me a goodie right off his plate.
I raced through the house, and scattered my toys,
Ricocheted off the furniture, and made lots of noise.
Mom found her purse - the one I abused.
Daddy let loose a chuckle. Mom asked "Amused?"
I cowered down low, I must be in trouble.
Dad said, "Wasn't my boy, it must be his double!"
Mom turned off the TV, and siad, "Time for bed."
Dad said "Let's go boy," and patted my head.
I got in my spot, between Mom and Dad,
I thought 'bout my day and what fun I had.
Mama kicked out my bone from under the covers below.
Then let loose a sigh - a sigh deep and low.
She gave me a kiss, and snuggled me tight,
And whispered so softly, "my darling goodnight."

"HELP ME!!"
We brought her to a boxer-meet in Moorhead, MN. She cling to my mother and me like no tomorrow.
The other dogs were friendly. But she wouldn't have it. Hehe.
5 week old Boxer puppies sure are cute...... trying to get them to be still enough for pictures is another story. These guys are already spoken for and will be heading to their new homes in just a few more weeks.

He always watches when there's a kid waiting to get on the bus, either at the window, or from the driveway. Sometimes, if it's one of the girls, he lets out a sigh, and walks away from the window. When it's the boys, he races me back to the house because he knows it's time for his peanut butter kong :)

A friend and co-workers dog had puppies just a few weeks ago and I just had to take a couple of snap shots of these guys before they head off to their new homes. We bought some heart shaped treats and I made daddy give Atlas one so I could take a picture. He's so intent on getting that treat in his mouth!!
