Went thru my art stash. Its fun to revisit older pieces and scraps you made and use them in new ways.
This is my sales cabinet which you can find upstairs on Level 1 at Botany Bay, just off J8 of the M61 near Bolton.
Botany Bay is situated on the north-east coast of Kent, near North Foreland. The bay has some interesting chalk formations. By the end of the day there are few people left on the beach save a few dog walkers and a strange photographer.
Bess Kellett, a SCDNR employee, asked Tom Tindall to speak with Botany Bay Volunteers about the history of Edisto Island and Botany Bay Heritage Preserve around 2008. Tom was retired Navy man living on Edisto – his family had vacationed and lived there since the late 1940's. Tom and his family had been the only residents of Botany Bay for 10 years until 1976 and knew much of it's history. Tom spoke with Botany Bay Volunteers, but he also put his thoughts into a web page called “Rivereagle” on Wordpress.org. He called his writings “Tom's Tidbits”. They are an amazing accounting of the early history of Edisto Island and Botany Bay Heritage Preserve.
Tom Tindall was caretaker of Botany Bay for Jason Meyer and lived in the house now used by the property Manager for 10 years - the only full time resident of Botany Bay. When Jason died in 1977 his widow needed full time help and Tom moved off the property.
