In BigPicnic eighteen European partners, including 15 botanical gardens from Europe and Uganda, come together to bring “food security” to the attention of their local citizens. Their co-creation journey started with a three day workshop during which employees of the gardens were introduced to co-creation methods and tools. Waag Society is involved as expert partner in the field of co-creation.
Hortus Botanicus is a botanical garden in the Plantage district of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. One of the oldest in the world, it is one of Amsterdam's major tourist attractions.
