So for this project what we had to do was create diptychs of our most prized possessions, so what I decided to do was use my cowboy boots. I was given these from my friends father who told me that every good man needs a pair of Cowboy boots, so now I wear them every weekend and have become my favorite possession, so I wanted to show there beauty and age in one. When Taking this I used the studio with external flashes one of them off to the left and a flash behind to show the edges of the boots. When editing, I only changed the contrast a little in photoshop and brightened the bottom of the boot. The way this answers the question for the week is by showing one photo of the beauty of the boots then another of the same boots but showing how much they have been used.
Jones the Bootmaker 'Harley.' My favourite footwear.
Subject assignment 1 from the work photo group is shoes this month. Got a chance to try playing studio photographer for an hour or so which was fun, though not having any lights was a bit of a pain.
This weekend I needed to scour a few boot fairs for useful items for my upcoming move into an unfurnished house. I have a fairly tight budget and essentials such as kitchen items, bedroom and loungeroom furniture on the list. So someone please explain why I bought a resin fox, a resin hare, a toy camera, a childrens mug and a punch magazine from the 1940s instead
There is another picture in my stream which features a wellington boot (and a girl) and it is one of my "most viewed" pictures.
I just posted this to see if it is the Wellingon Boot that is responsible for the high level of interest - or the pretty girl ??
An R.M. Williams "President" Boot...a pair of these handmade boots that are made out of crocodile skin, emu skin and cattle hide will set you back AUD $8,400...nice boot :)

Shoe polish (or boot polish), usually a waxy paste or a cream, is a consumer product used to polish, shine, waterproof, and restore the appearance of leather shoes or boots, thereby extending the footwear's life. In some regions—including New Zealand—"Nugget" is used as a common term for solid waxy shoe polish, as opposed to liquid shoe polishes
