A bold wag tail allowing a very close approach - enough to see the eyebrows! At moorhen flats,norman creek.
This little fellow didn't want to leave my bike tire so i decided to get a few pictures of him (at least i think it is a male, based on abdomen size). I was finally able to get him onto the ground so i could roll my bike into the garage. The other pictures of the bold jumper were taken after i got him off the tire. Last i knew he had taken shelter under a leaf when i was done picture taking :)

This is a bold jumping spider, Phidippus audax. Yolanda spotted him walking across our path while we were talking to Gil and Maggie. Gil wanted me to kill it, as did maggie. I didn't. I would have said he was a gorilla spider. He's got large front legs for grabbin' prey! his big green mustache there is irridescent. i am sure i spelled that wrong.
