Bold tracts of concrete hover over the roads and pavements here, lacerating the skyline from most street level perspectives. The Skytrain in Bangkok is omnipresent and allows most areas of the city to remain well connected to one another. It is both a swift, safe and a very reasonably priced way to travel.
The waterfront in Bergen has some very colourful buildings.
As the sunshine finally came out the colours where striking.

My red is so confident that he flashes
trophies of war and ribbons of euphoria
Orange is young, full of daring
but it's very unsteady for the first go 'round.
My yellow in this case is not so mellow
in fact I'm trying to say it's frightened like me
and all these emotions of mine
keep holding me from
giving my life to a rainbow like you...

Last May as I was uncoiling a garden hose, I found this little jumping spider—and ran for my camera! Then in February yesterday, there he (she?) was on our front steps. I think we recognized each other! Well, hi there!
I have never had a Collared dove in the garden before that didn't fly away the moment I appeared.
This dove came down while my wife and I were clearing up after an afternoon's gardening. It allowed me to go back into the house to get the camera. Walked within 3 m of me! I was amazed.

2cm clear glass marble.. It’s a toss up between this one or my previous post for Macro Mondays submission. The stormy weather has been pushed back until Tuesday-Wednesday now.. It’s still terribly cold but no wind and no power issues. So yay..

The lights are on in the yard which gives an indication of deteriorating weather. I think I must have given up at this point but with hindsight should have stayed and gone for atmosphere!
Another "over the fence" shot from someone's garden ! I'm very fond of the greeny-yellow and orange centres of theses flowers against their white petals. They aren't Costas, and I haven't been able to find out from Google or the local garden centre what they are called ...

Bald Eagle ~ #27 in Explore 6/13/14
The Bald Eagle is both the national bird and national animal of the United States of America. The Bald Eagle appears on its Seal.
Its range includes most of Canada and Alaska, all of the contiguous United States, and northern Mexico. It is found near large bodies of open water with an abundant food supply and old-growth trees for nesting.
Bald eagles are not actually bald; the name derives from an older meaning of "white headed". The adult is mainly brown with a white head and tail. The sexes are identical in plumage, but females are about 25 percent larger than males. The beak is large and hooked. Plumage of the immature is brown.
In the late 20th century it was on the brink of local extinction in the continental United States. Populations recovered and the species was removed from the U.S. federal government's list of endangered species on July 12, 1995 and transferred to the list of threatened species. It was removed from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife in the Lower 48 States on June 28, 2007. The average lifespan of Bald Eagles in the wild is around 20 years, with the oldest confirmed one having been 28 years of age ~ Davie, Florida U.S.A.

A unique church stands on a hill visible from both directions on I-80. The Holy Family Shrine is glass-walled, with supports holding up its 45-ft. tall roof. A man-made stream bubbles along a path cut along the walkway to the entrance and then in the floor of the nave.
The week after my 1st swamp sparrow, I saw my 2nd one at the same place. This one was a cheeky little bird. Hopped right up on the pier in front of me and just stood there. Like it knew how pretty it was and wanted me to admire it.
