We were traveling this week. Returning from a trip at Thanksgiving to visit my daughter and our grandchildren in LA. Spent the last evening in Pecos Texas before driving home the next day. We pulled into the drive thru of a local barbecue place. All of a sudden we were surrounded by "The Birds" as a huge flock of starling began roosting in the power lines over us. With my camera gear all packed in the back of the Jeep, I luckily had my iPhone out to Apple pay at the window and got a few quick shots. Amazing how they space themselves out.

Liked this transition time between night and blue hour on Middle River. The large house there was just recently constructed this past summer.
Blue hour over the frozen moor
Romeriksåsen. Romerike. Norway.
The sun set almost over 1.5 hours ago, but because of the sun it goes in a "flat circle" here in the north, so both the golden hour (actually almost the whole day in December) and the blue hour last quite a bit longer. Of course, the snow also helps. It doesn't get pitch dark here in the winter as soon as the snow settles.
So I don't need a headlamp when the weather is nice to walk in the forest at night.
Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia is a quaint little town on the South Shore. Home to the iconic 3 churches that line the shoreline as you enter the village.
