- Blue hour after sunset (in fact half an hour past sunset) over one of the many fens in het Holtveen, beside the most beautiful biking trail of Drenthe (Commissaris Cramerpad).
- Eén van de vele vennen in het Holtveen, langs het mooiste fietspad van Drenthe (het Commissaris Cramerpad). Het Holtveen ligt aan de oostzijde van de Kraloërheide, samen met de Dwingeloosche Heide goed voor het grootste aaneengesloten vochtige heidegebied in Noordwest-Europa.
Another one from that stunning sunset the other evening. I was struck by the redness of the setting sun giving the quay buildings a lovely warm glow.
Its been a good week for sunsets. I've been down to my local beach and yesterday I paid a visit to Kimmeridge to give all my long exposure filters an airing.

Blue hour image. By chance I passed this last winter on a cold morning. It was the only time ever I saw these lamps on, so I am glad I took it.
This was with my 6 stopper, I was reluctant to try really full on LE as I realised my cable release was faulty just before the shoot.
And to be honest I prefer some water movement at this location. Earlier in the day I walked across this causeway with the tide nowhere to be seen. Thats how extreme they are here.
I realised also that one of my KASE step rings had gone missing and it cost me £25 to buy a new one. Then I found out I won £25 on the premium bonds.
Which was nice!
