Christie (happiest) by the River (lake or ocean) :)

Pärlemormoln eller polarstratosfäriskt moln, bildas på en höjd av 15000 - 25000 meter över havet då vatten, salpetersyra och svavelsyra fryser vid mycket låga temperaturer .

Polar stratospheric clouds are clouds in the winter polar stratosphere at altitudes of 15,000–25,000 m. They are best observed during civil twilight, when the Sun is between 1 and 6 degrees below the horizon, as well as in winter and in more northerly latitudes. Wikipedia

The original church of San Fernando was built between 1738 and 1750. It was much smaller than today and followed the more traditional Spanish Colonial style. The walls of that church today form the sanctuary of the cathedral, which gives rise to its claim as the oldest cathedral in Texas, and one of the oldest in the US. The substantial enlargement that gave it the current appearance in pseudo-Gothic style was carried out in 1868 (restated from Wikipedia).

The Map Group on Flickr provides a great service by creating a map of geotagged images for each of its members. Here is mine.

3.5 minute Long exposure sunrise

Sergio and I plus a new Finnish friend had this pre-dawn beauty to ourselves. The snowstorm had slowed allowing a few shots, like this one of the bridge leading to the Emerald Lake Resort with the Cilantro Cafe lit up nicely. A favorite morning.

Thanks for taking a look and for any comments, faves and suggestions.

Enjoy this last Sunday of 2019! Wish the years weren't whizzing bye so fast....!

Freyung is a lovely triangular square in central Vienna. In the center, the Austria Fountain is dedicated not to Austria but to the emperor Ferdinand I. L’état, c’est moi, I guess.

Golden light catches the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Pavilion in Bayfront Park in Hamilton, Ontario

Seven vertical shots stitched together in Photoshop. Double click to see nice detail with a 35mm prime lens.

Natural light mixes in with the many lights on and around Potsdam's central train station and the integrated shopping center, and the modern IBL investment bank building (completed in 2017) a few meters up from the Havel River just beyond Nuthe Park. A nice blue hour mood as the sun sets. Some unlit bank windows still catch and reflect daylight. [SNY00197_lr_2000]
