This is a fully bloomed flower with a closed one beside it, but there's a fluff posing like a little star...
A four-nerved daisy (Tetraneuris linearifolia) blooms in a field near Cresson Bluff in Hood County Texas. This member of the aster family (Asteraceae) is also called Fineleaf Four-nerved Daisy, Slender-leaf Bitterweed, and Bitterweed
Well it was in April, So on the cold mornings that we are having I like to remind myself that in just a few months, we will be back to spring before you know it.
Wild Dogwood Blooms this tree is growing in the woods, pretty wild but holding it's own, a bit thin because of a late freeze, shot in North Carolina.
These bright blooms were growing near the Tempe City Hall during our recent spring visit.

A lagniappe shot for the Autumnal Equinox. These are my neighbor's Red Spider Lillies that bloom around this time every Fall. I saw them from my front window this morning as they were spotlighted by the morning sun and just had to get a shot.
Tulip Tree in full bloom! I showed you one bloom when they first started opening. Now the entire tree is covered.
Interesting that it blooms like this before it ever puts on a single leaf. I guess reproduction is "job one".
