When you're in a dark place, you sometimes tend to think you've been buried. Perhaps you've been planted. Bloom.

Smile on Saurday.."natural white" a good excuse to post one more trillium bloom from this Spring. I love hiking the trails in the Spring before the leaves are fully out to find beauties like this.

Happy to have grown from a seed, several blooms and healthy plants!

“I am in awe of flowers.

Not because of their colors,

but because even though they

have dirt in their roots,

they still grow.

They still bloom.”

I am always amazed by the design and beauty of dogwood blooms. There are so many varieties with very different blooms. I took this shot at Cheekwood Botanical Garden in Nashville. They have a Dogwood Trail in full bloom in the spring. (Edited in Lightroom and Topaz)

Cholla Blooms Near Campo California

Extremely Spiny Cactus, Especially the one nickname The Jumpin Cholla. Get one in your skin and it may require pliers to pull the spines out.

Go ahead I dare you to pick a flower

Macro Mondays theme 5 August 2019 - Complementary Colours

I chose the colours orange and blue - two of my very favourite colours. The orange flower shown here is a Daylily in full bloom, picked from my garden for the occasion. The blue comes from the miniature glass vase that the bloom has been placed in, which has been filled with blue-tinted water (thank you, food colouring!) and the blue dinner plate that the vase has been placed upon.

HMM! 💐

Lovely red bloom. Ixora coccinea (also known as jungle geranium, flame of the woods or jungle flame) is a species of flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae. It is a common flowering shrub native to Southern India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. It has become one of the most popular flowering shrubs in South Florida gardens and landscapes. It is the national flower of Suriname. I. coccinea is a dense, multi-branched evergreen shrub, commonly 1.2–1.8 m in height, but capable of reaching up to 3.7 m high. It has a rounded form, with a spread that may exceed its height. The glossy, leathery, oblong leaves are about 10 cm long, with entire margins, and are carried in opposite pairs or whorled on the stems. Small tubular, scarlet flowers in dense rounded clusters 5.1–12.7 cm across are produced almost all year long. G5 98

Lonely I might look,

shining I might be,

bloomed a little too early

I now face a death penalty.

These four lines apply to

all that has life,

let it be nature,animals,

humans, even the moon and stars were bright

when no pollution was around,

but now, that it's starting

to go back to a semblance

of normalcy, our skies lost

it's shining stars and breathable

air all due to humans selfishness .........

Hibiscus

Our Hibiscus tree has finally bloomed, it is about six weeks late this year.
