This is the only part of the quilt that I used a pattern for. I thought this spider web block made the perfect center for my quilt. This part of the quilt hasn't been quilted yet.
This was fun to trade off the flash vs the lighting from the window. Took a while, but I think I got the balance close

Welcome Week ends with a bang at UL Lafayette's annual Block Party. Held at the corner of St. Mary and Rex, students are treated to free food, music, t-shirts and other fun, while celebrating life as a Ragin' Cajun.
I hand cut, painted, distressed and antiqued a set of blocks to show my love of baskets. Here they are shown in a gift tin filled with paper shred.
Another angle and a miniature shaker kittenhead basket that I wove.
The Northern Reaches of the Lancaster Canal were cut off in 1968 when the building of the M62 severed the canal in three places. There is a project underway to restore the canal for navigation, eventually all the way up to Lake Windemere.
Some blocks that I am happily babysitting for a friend. They watch over my atelier from their perch on the shelf in my window, like three silent sentries.
Kelly Hartwell, #42, Artemis Spanou, #15, and Lou Mataly #12, are trying to block Rachel Mathews, #45, and Jacqueline Brewer, #24, from getting the ball.
